A “Win” or a “Loss”?

Which candidate actually “Won” or “Lost” Tuesday’s Presidential debate? We do see claims that Trump “won” and succeeded in getting across a number of points better than Harris did. Hopefully, that is true as the survival of our country as the world’s “bastion of freedom”, depends on his winning the election in November.

On an intellectual basis Trump, likely, did better than did Harris in the debate. However, if correct, did he actually increase his chances of winning the election? A question that needs to be asked is what group of potential voters is it necessary for Trump to have “won over” in order to win in November especially given the real possibility of repeated Democrat election fraud in key States and Counties?

It is this author’s own opinion that the majority of voters who actually have knowledge of this election’s factors have already made up their minds who they will vote for. Those of us, the author obviously included, that prefer a minimal government and maximized personal freedom, have already decided to vote Republican for Donald Trump. Those voters that “always want something” from government and are willing to surrender their personal freedom to get “something” will vote Democrat for Kamala Harris.

Regarding the debate the BIG question, though, is how did the candidates fare with undecided voters? Unfortunately, in the author’s opinion, Trump did not “fare” as well as Harris possibly did in persuading “undecided voters” to vote for him over her. This is due, again in the author’s opinion, to the fact that he failed to “warm up” to the debate and to present his positive personality as he has many times in the past. Granted he was debating not just Harris but the moderators as well but he has encountered such “slanted debate formats” in the past and has, in the vast majority of such cases, overcome them.

In watching the entire debate, the author is unable to recall President Trump smiling. Had he “poked fun” at Harris and the so called “Moderators”, it would have shown the dynamic personality that he has almost always shown to the public and would have, again in the author’s opinion, helped him immensely.
