“I would hope, that as a wise, white woman with the richness of my experiences, I would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white, African-American, Hispanic, or Native American male who hasn’t lived that life.

“As a white woman, I am part of an aggrieved minority, a minority that still earns only 78 cents to every dollar a man earns, who grew up with divorcedparents, and who had to work my way through college and graduate school, all the way to a Ph.D. from the Ivy League. And then, despite my aggrieved minority status, built an accomplished career with a national voice. “I think my great American story—-my triumph, given my aggrieved minority status—-makes me wiser and a better judge of everything than any man: particularly white men, who have had it so easy in this world and still managed to screw it up with their injustices, wars, and discrimination. “I, as a wise white woman, am superior.” And…..scene. (Can I be a Supreme Court justice now?) Monica holds two Masters degrees and a Ph.D. in international affairs from Columbia University and worked as a Foreign Policy Assistant to former President Richard Nixon from 1990 until his death in 1994.
