ACORN Founder Wade Rathke Was Fired From ACORN Last Year

I keep hearing from some people that disgraced ACORN founder Wade Rathke resigned from the group he created.

That’s not true. He was dismissed — with cause. The minutes of the ACORN national board meeting on June 20, 2008, show that on a vote of 29 to 14 the board approved a motion that Rathke “shall immediately and permanently be terminated from all employment with ACORN and its affiliated organizations or corporations. Further more [sic], Mr. Rathke should be removed from all boards & any leadership roles with ACORN or its affiliated organizations or corporations.”
