Consumers may not be surprised that the redesigned fourth-generation Impreza offers significant enhancements over the previous model: a refined new 2.0-litre Subaru Boxer engine that's both more responsive and significantly easier on fuel (5.5 L/100 km highway; 7.5 L/100 km city—comparable with front-wheel drive competitors); exceptional levels of standard and optional equipment; more interior space and comfort without increased vehicle size; and the added protection of high-tensile steel throughout the body.
