All That Glitters Is Not Gold, The “Sparkle Creed” Is Blasphemous

I've had an interesting religious history. The first church that I attended as a child was a Presbyterian Church. We then switched to the Methodist Church, where I even sang in the choir. Many years later, I took the nine months of Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) classes and joined the Catholic Church. Then approximately fifteen years ago, I became what I call a spiritualist. My belief in God, Jesus, and everything I learned in all of the religions still remains the same, I just don’t believe that I need an organized religion to celebrate my relationship with the Almighty.

Apostles Creed

One of the first things I learned as a young boy at church was the Apostles Creed. Every church that I attended used the Creed as part of their service or mass. It was a constant and integral part of the worship ceremony. The words describe the birth and death of Jesus, his resurrection, and his ascent into heaven. The closing lines are affirmations of Christian beliefs. The versions have slight variations but most are fairly close to this one.

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into Hell.
On the third day he rose from the dead
and ascended into heaven.
He is seated at the right hand of the Father.
From whence he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of the saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting,

Amen.

Sparkle Creed

There is some controversy over where and when the creed became part of Christian worship, but most agree that it dates back to the 4^th century AD, making it slightly older than the similar Nicene Creed. So obviously, it is deeply rooted in Christian worship, but like all aspects of Christianity, even this has been under attack by the left.

According to Religion Unplugged, “The Edina Community Lutheran Church in Minneapolis created a stir recently by posting part of a Pride Month service that featured a radically modernized take on the faith passed down through the ages, the Sparkle Creed.”

Anna Helgen, is a moronic leftist, who should not be allowed behind a pulpit anywhere. Yet somehow, she is the co-pastor of this hell hole with stained glass windows. During a pride month sermon, Helgen desecrated the Apostles Creed by interjecting her obnoxious beliefs into the wording.

“I believe in the non-binary God whose pronouns are plural. I believe in Jesus Christ, their child, who wore a fabulous tunic and had two dads and saw everyone as a sibling-child of God. I believe in the rainbow Spirit, who shatters our image of one white light and refracts it into a rainbow of gorgeous diversity, I believe in the church of everyday saints as numerous, creative, and resilient as patches on the AIDS quilt, whose feet are grounded in mud and whose eyes gaze at the stars in wonder. I believe in the calling to each of us that love is love is love, so beloved, let us love. I believe, glorious God. Help my unbelief.”

So why attack Christianity, instead of protesting or mocking less tolerant religions?

You have to ask yourself what would the level of outrage be if the Muslim religion was mocked like this? Would everyone turn a blind eye if the words of the Koran were desecrated? The irony is that the Christian religion is welcoming, whereby other religions are not. So why attack Christianity, instead of protesting or mocking less tolerant religions?

In my opinion, it’s because these blasphemers are not only clueless, but they’re also gutless. They’re afraid to attack the religions that have absolutely no tolerance for them and in fact may very well murder them for their lifestyle. Why, because they know the press would attack them for denigrating the Muslim religion, so they avoid making any type of disparaging comments about them. So much for a deep unwavering commitment to their lifestyle. These are imposters that love attention and taking cheap shots against any type of American or Christian tradition They love being flamboyant but only when they know they can get away with it.

We need to set a precedent, there will be no pride displays or drag shows in churches or libraries until there are over one hundred drag shows in Mosques around the country.

Pride? What a joke.
