The GOP hierarchy needs to acknowledge and embrace the message voters sent in the 2010 Mid-term election

An Open Letter to Reince Priebus and GOP Primary Delegates!

With two GOP Presidential debates in the books, it is exciting to see that the party offers a promising line-up of potential candidates to capture the White House in 2012. The question is, will the party field the best candidate possible, one who champions the National Party Platform and stands on principle, or will it retreat to the losing proposition of nominating a demoralizing, yet ‘tenured’ candidate?

Much has been discussed about the weakness of the 2008 GOP Presidential ticket. The weakness of the GOP Presidential ticket was Senator John McCain, not Sarah Palin. Even with the media demonization, Sarah Palin was the only candidate of the four who exuded competence and a servant-leader demeanor. Do the puppeteers of the GOP hierarchy and the Primary delegates realize they have an opportunity and responsibility to reverse the phenomenal flop they forced upon the Party and the nation in 2008? Due to the straying by President Bush on key fiscal issues and the renegade actions by several members of the GOP in Congress, the conservative core of the GOP was disheartened in 2008. Add to these political sins, the constant and vicious assault by the lemming media upon President Bush, it was apparent that whomever emerged as the 2008 Presidential GOP candidate was going to face a huge challenge in the General Election. As has been noted ad nauseam, no one questions Senator McCain’s patriotism, but seldom is it mentioned that being a war hero does not automatically equate to being a responsible Senator. As great as Michael Jordan was in basketball, he couldn’t transfer his athleticism to professional baseball. Senator McCain’s positions on key issues have been all over the map. He stands on the right side of key issues to get elected, only to cross party lines and his constituents once in office. In short, he is a RINOcrat; he is a politician. Loyalty to the Party is not the same as loyalty to fundamental values. The GOP needs to purge the RINOcrats from its ranks to allow the true Republicans to ascend to leadership. Voters deserve the opportunity of voting for a complete conservative (fiscal and social), not just cafeteria conservatives. It is time for those within the GOP, responsible for delivering the best candidates possible, to deliver. The delegates need to look past individual benefits and towards our nation’s benefits. Voters need a fresh face at the top of the ticket; we need someone who can lead with the heart of a champion and with the morals and principles that can electrify those within the party and the majority of Independents. The overt and covert actions against our Constitution and the American citizen by the Pied Piper of Poverty and globalism, currently residing in the White House, demand a response. We need a polar-opposite, principled, patriotic leader to deliver us, as Moses delivered the Jews from Ramses. Only when trust and belief in a better tomorrow is restored, will employment and our economy have an opportunity to resurrect. The GOP hierarchy needs to acknowledge and embrace the message voters sent in the 2010 Mid-term election. Voters don’t want a candidate propped up for inane reasons, including ‘tenure.’ The GOP hierarchy needs to comply with the party’s position regarding tenure in education. If it is worth combating the stifling impact of ‘tenure’ in the classroom, isn’t it worth combating it when it may snuff the life out of the party, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory? It is going to take a miracle to overcome the purposeful destruction of our country. We need the political equivalent of Navy Seal Team 6 to save us from ourselves. Get to know your state delegates and hold them accountable to you and our nation for whomever they nominate as the 2012 GOP Presidential nominee. May God continue to shed His grace on us and our blessed nation!
