I am in receipt of yet another plea for money from the Republican National Committee.
This time, it is purported to be to stop the implementation of Obamacare.
This troubles me. All you want from me is my money. You could care less what I think and you certainly do not embrace my desire for limited government, less spending and a strongly conservative party.
Even within your ranks there is deep disagreement on issues that should be uniting the party. Of course, Obamacare should be defunded. It is a poorly drafted, wildly expensive and unworkable piece of legislation. But I do not see a strong platform that respects the wishes of much of the population. There are too many career Republicans that have been corrupted by Washington and there is little support for the true conservatives.
So, my money will be sent directly to those I feel will work to solve problems, not perpetuate them. In addition, I will support Tea Party groups who are fighting the status quo. The Republican National Committee will not get a cent from me until they begin to represent the values I hold dear. Feel free to keep asking. I will continue to say no.
