An open letter to Ted Cruz supporters

I know you are hurt and disappointed. I know you feel that the system has let you down. Well, guess what? You are not the first voter to be discouraged. You are not the first voter to think that the rest of the population got it all wrong.

Now what? You have a big decision to make. Are you going to swallow your pride and get out to campaign and vote for Trump or are you going to stay home and pout which, incidentally, might give the Presidency to the Democrats? If we do not stop the Democratic march toward socialism this country is doomed. And you won’t like the result. In every election, only a percentage of the voters see their first choice make it all the way into office. Dirt is uncovered, missteps are made and much loved candidates fall by the wayside. As a Ted Cruz supporter, you hold the outcome of this Presidential race in the palm of your hand. Let’s stand together to enthusiastically support Trump. Let’s be the party that looks for the positive in our candidate instead of picking away at the negatives. For heaven's sake, if legions of Democrats can support Hillary Clinton after all her lies and deceit, can’t Republicans support a guy who seems, at the very least, to echo our collective concerns?
