Angry Parents of Skaters Force Mayor de Blasio Off Their IceCommies like New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio don’t skate on kids’ ice rinks—but think nothing of skating on thin ice when it comes to trying to deprive little kids of the healthful Winter fun of skating. That’s chiefly because Communists in public office hold themselves as elitists who regard citizens under their pompous command as plebes. Ditto for the children of plebes as far as His Worship is concerned.

The city is doing a full “180” on its plan to shutter Trump-operated ice skating rink

The city is doing a full “180” on its plan to shutter Trump-operated ice skating rinks. City Hall on Sunday reversed Mayor de Blasio’s move to shutter Lasker and Wollman rinks in Central Park six weeks ahead of their typical April closing dates — in an effort to freeze-out his political rival. “New York City kids deserve all the time on the ice they can get this year. The Wollman and Lasker rinks will stay open under current management for the few weeks left in this season,” City Hall Press Secretary Bill Neidhardt told The Post. (New York Post, (Feb. 21,2021)
“The stunning policy reversal came after devastated skaters fumed over the weekend that they shouldn’t be kept off the ice due to Hizzoner’s beef with the Trump administration. “The Wollman and Lasker rinks will stay open under current management for the few weeks left in this season.” “But make no mistake, we will not be doing business with the Trump Organization going forward. Inciting an insurrection will never be forgotten or forgiven.”
How big and generous—or plain mean and petty— of city council to give little kids a few weeks of this year’s skating, but throw politics in by stating they will not be doing business with the Trump Organization going forward. Like it’s up to a municipal council to give or take away the skating privileges of the young?

Up to an overbearing city council to accuse Donald Trump of “inciting an insurrection” with no proof or evidence to back up their loud claims? Up to a city council to state that because of allegations against the former president, he will “NEVER” be forgotten or forgiven”? When kids still had the benefit of in-person learning in schools shuttered by the pandemic last March, some of them were taught words of The Lord’s Prayer, which sates “forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.” What our children, shut off from almost a year from their peers, learn today is that they’re left to grow up in a dog-eat-dog world. Part of the dog-eat-dog world that parent plebes and their children are now living in stems in part from de Blasio’s instructions for people to rat out their neighbors: “Last week de Blasio asked New Yorkers to rat out fellow citizens on those ignoring social distancing orders by taking photos of the violators and texting it to the city. (Daily Mail, April 27, 2020)
'When you see a crowd, when you see a line that's not distanced, when you see a supermarket that's too crowded, you can report it right away so we can get there to help fix the problem.’”

But plebes know who’s really paying the price for the threats to close skating rinks: “The real people they’re hurting are the 2,500 children that have been benefiting from the skating program this season and 250 innocent employees who have been keeping this going for us,” said Lee Klausner, 49, who was watching her two daughters skate. (TownHall, Feb. 22, 2021
“Trump’s business group, run by his sons Donald Jr. and Eric, has operated the rinks for more than three decades.” “Lara Trump blasted De Blasio's plan to shut the rinks, calling it "disgusting." "Bill de Blasio has such a vendetta against a man that doesn’t even live in his city anymore, lives down in Florida now, that he is willing to take away these people’s jobs, people who have season passes are losing money on this, it’s absolutely disgraceful," she said on Fox News. "It is the worst kind of Trump derangement syndrome I have ever heard of," she continued. "It’s so terrible for the city of New York and this guy has a lot bigger problems on his hands, he might want to focus on getting that city back open because people are leaving as fast as they can. It is honestly so sad to see."

One month after the pandemic first hit, de Blasio was caught taking a stroll in the park with his wife where he was filmed by a savvy New Yorker.
“New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and his wife were heckled by locals as they walked through Prospect Park in Brooklyn over the weekend, despite living 11 miles away in Manhattan.(Daily Mail, April 27, 2020) “New Yorker Darren Goldner took video of the moment he scolded the Mayor for forcing an entourage of four SUV security vehicles to drive his family to the park for a nonessential recreational walk in a completely different borough. 'Seriously, you guys have a park. You live in park. You don’t need to non-essentially travel to Brooklyn. Come on you won’t even open roads for people of all backgrounds. I’m not going to give it a break. This is selfish behavior,' Goldner said. “At the end of the clip the Mayor and his wife walked to their cars followed by assistants and drove off. “De Blasio was seen waving his hand dismissively towards the camera as he walked away from his angry constituent saying, 'Come on guys, give it a break’.”
Meanwhile, in de Blasio’s world some animals will always be more equal than others—but never the children of plebes.
