Ask questions before you vote in November!

We are three months away from a potentially watershed election. What are you, the American taxpayer, going to do on November 2nd?

Prior to voting, why not question everything everyone in the political spotlight says perspective? Isn’t it time to look past Party affiliation on the ballot and focus upon the positives and negatives of an individual &/or issue? Could it be that people becoming informed about candidates and issues is why those who are registered as ‘Independent’ continues to grow at the expense of the Republican and Democratic Parties? Why not devise your own list of questions. The following are my list of questions:

Taxes

  • Why isn’t letting the sunset go down on the Bush tax cuts a good idea?
  • Doesn’t this raise tax rates, and isn’t this ‘socially’ responsible?
  • As a rule, whenever tax rates increase, don’t tax revenues decrease because the incentive for earning more money is stripped from the most innovative and entrepreneurial amongst us?

Tax Revenues

  • Isn’t the challenge with tax ‘models’ due to the fact that the models never account for the influence of human nature?
  • Instead of getting more of what we are promised, increased tax revenues, don’t we get less tax revenues?
  • Unfortunately, many politicians never stop spending our money with reckless abandon. When they have less tax revenues, instead of reducing tax rates to generate needed tax revenues, they raise tax rates with the mistaken belief that revenues will increase. Isn’t one definition of insanity doing the same thing over and again, yet expecting a different result?
  • Is this one of many reasons why our under and unemployment figures remain stubbornly high?

Wealth

  • Wouldn’t those focused upon clawing at the ‘wealthy’ benefit more by using their time and talents to claw their way towards their own wealth?
  • Speaking of the term ‘wealth,’ who are the arbiters of the definition of ‘wealth?’
  • What is your definition of ‘wealth?’
  • Isn’t this a subjective judgment?
  • Are you jealous of others’ ‘wealth?’
  • Are others jealous of your ‘wealth?’
  • Are you willing to allow your hard-earned income to be ‘stolen’ in order to have it re-distributed by the government to its pet factions?
  • Returning to the Bush tax cuts, didn’t Democrats vote for these cuts as well?
  • How was it that the economy grew under GWB when the Republicans controlled Congress, and went off the cliff AFTER the Democrats took control of Congress?

Financial Reform

  • Why weren’t Senator Dodd and Representative Frank investigated for their interference in the oversight of, and misrepresentation of, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac that lead to the implosion of our economy?
  • How were these two scoundrels allowed to lead the Financial Reform legislation without having been held accountable for their actions under the Bush administration?
  • How is it socially justifiable for Senator Dodd to benefit from his questionable sweetheart ‘deal’ regarding his ‘cottage’ in Ireland, or for Senator Dodd, Senator Conrad, and others in Congress, and employed by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, to have access to sweetheart, low interest loans from Countrywide?

Employment

  • Is employment a major concern of yours, either for yourself, a loved one, or a friend/neighbor?
  • Have you considered all of the concerns an employer may have in adding to his/her staff?

Employment Benefits

  • If you are under or unemployed, have you asked yourself why employers are so reluctant to add personnel to their payrolls at this time?
  • What salary or base pay are you seeking for new or better employment?
  • Have you factored in the cost to the employer for his/her half of FICA, his/her cost of health, dental, or vision insurance premiums, or of paying a penalty for not offering health insurance, unemployment insurance, vacation time, and any other perks you seek?
  • If offered, what is the cost to the employer for maintaining a retirement program?
  • What matching contribution does the employer offer?
  • Most importantly, how long will it be before you begin to produce to the level of your salary and perks?
  • Were you an employer, how long would you be willing to pay the salary, insurances, retirement contributions, perks, etc., waiting for a new employee to become productive to the level of these costs?

Business Expenses

  • Beyond all of these employee cost issues, are you familiar with all of the other costs of conducting business?
  • What are the overhead costs, license and regulatory fees, and taxes for being in business?
  • What is the monthly rent?
  • What are the monthly utility costs?
  • What are the taxes assessed on property owned by the employer, and how much does it cost to maintain this property?
  • What are the costs for hiring competent legal and tax advice?
  • What are the office equipment and/or shipping costs associated with the business?
  • What are the advertising costs to promote the business in order to keep the cash-flow coming in?
  • Are you familiar with the costs of Yellow Pages, radio, TV, newspaper, magazine, direct mail, coupons, and other forms of advertising?
  • If a business, or a government entity, has a fleet of vehicles, what is the cost of maintaining the fleet and keeping the fleet gassed up on a daily basis?

Oil and Energy needs

  • Are you aware of the devastating impact that a six (6) month moratorium will have upon our ability to meet the petroleum needs of our country?
  • Are you aware that over 30% of our domestic oil production comes from the Gulf?
  • How many rigs will relocate to other oil enclaves around the world?
  • Will some of these rigs be relocated to waters of countries that are less than friendly to the U. S.?
  • How does this moratorium assist us in becoming energy independent?
  • Isn’t this moratorium adding insult to injury to all of those who live and work along the Gulf, and won’t this cripple our tepid economy?
  • The effects of this moratorium cannot be blamed on BP; it rests solely with the regime because it instituted the moratorium!

Charities, Charitable donations

  • How many times are businesses approached for charitable donations for worthy causes?
  • How many schools, scout troops, etc., approach businesses for contributions of their resources of time, talent, product/service, or cash?
  • How many employees have ever considered these issues from the perspective of the employer?
  • Do you think politicians ever consider or understand any of these issues when they are devising devastating tax and regulatory legislation?
  • Do you think they even care?

Unemployment

  • Now that you see some of the myriad concerns that businesses face on a daily basis, considering so many people are under or unemployed, doesn’t that affect the number of customers who have the means to purchase a company’s products/services?
  • If under and unemployment remains stubbornly high, won’t that have a negative impact upon those currently employed in addition to those already on the sidelines of the employment scorecard?

Healthcare

  • While few members of Congress read and fully understand the impending impact of the Stealth-care bill that the Democrats passed over the wishes of the American public, have you read through the bill?
  • Have you calculated what the costs are going to be on individuals and employers throughout the country? Have you researched the impact of Massachusetts-Care upon the residents of the state?
  • Are you aware of the dramatic increases in premiums most people within the state have been forced to pay?
  • Are you aware that the state is already having a huge challenge paying for the onerous costs of this legislation?
  • This was the model upon which Obamacare, or more appropriately, DemCare (as in Demolition Care) was based - how exciting! Are you personally prepared to pay the mushrooming premium costs, or a fine for not having health insurance, as demanded by this wretched legislation?
  • Also, why is it that members of Congress can exempt themselves from this Trojan Horse of health-care, but demand you and I pony up for something a sizable majority does not want, or even need?

Cap and Trade

  • Do you think businessmen and women are concerned about the onerous costs of Cap-&-Trade or Climate-change legislation?
  • Do you really trust the regime when it says that this legislation is on the shelf at this time? Even if it is, when will it be back in play?
  • Will the EPA usurp the responsibilities of Congress, imposing draconian climate regulations?
  • If utilities have to triple their rates to pay for artificially low ‘Caps’ and the subsequent ‘Trades,’ what will that do the costs for individuals and businesses on a monthly basis?
  • With that money stolen from the economy (redistributed from the average to the ultra-wealthy), how will that benefit employment, or the environment?
  • If fewer people have less discretionary income, won’t that lead to a decrease in business in many areas of the economy, and potentially to a reduction in current employees?
  • Does this seem to be very positive to you?

Environment

  • Do people really believe the propaganda that people who advocate for reasoned vs. damning environmental reform really don’t care about the environment?
  • Don’t we all breathe the same air and drink the same water?
  • Don’t those below the upper tier of the environmental movement realize they are pawns for advancing the greed and lust for power by those at the top tier of this Ponzi scheme?
  • Is there any difference between young terrorists who are conned into becoming suicide bombers, and the middle-income American rubes who are willing to blow up our economy via Cap-&-Trade?
  • Are they blind to the fact that this is a ruse to allow those on Wall Street to rake in billions for executing trades at the direction of those who operate the marionette stings from above, greedily ‘redistributing’ our money from our pockets into their pockets?

Value added tax

  • So far, the citizenry of the U. S. has been spared the insult and the burden of a Value Added Tax (VAT). Will this regressive tax be another nail in the coffin of our, once vaunted, prosperity?
  • What ‘value’ is added via this tax?
  • Shouldn’t this tax be renamed ‘Vanishing Assets Tax’ for the vanishing assets redirected from both individuals and businesses to fund a dramatic increase of government spending?
  • Think of the money you spend throughout each day, for dining out, or on items like a cellphone, a big screen TV, an appliance, a car, truck or SUV, or for home repair – if the VAT is ‘only’ 10%, are you prepared to pay an additional 10% so that government can fund pet projects?
  • Because this tax is imbedded (hidden), won’t this, by default, also increase the amount you are obligated to pay in sales tax?
  • How does this improve the employment opportunities in the U. S., or your quality of life?
  • What could be the ulterior reasons for these burdensome taxes and actions, and who benefits from these actions?
  • Don’t these issues affect you and the unstable employment picture?

Obama

  • Haven’t President Obama and his appointees been narcissistic agitators their whole lives?
  • Hasn’t Congress abandoned its responsibility of serving the American citizens for the money and votes of special interests?
  • Don’t many believe rules are for everyone, but themselves?
  • Don’t many use virtually anyone and everyone to advance their careers?
  • Have you awoken to the fact that the audacity of hope is really an audacity of arrogance?
  • How long are you willing to put up with this selfish, ruinous agenda?

Freedom, Socialism

  • Isn’t it time to stand up for yourself, your family and our country, removing these carpetbaggers and scalawags from their comfy positions?
  • Shouldn’t these cads be held to the same legislation they demand of us, so that they are voting with their money and freedoms as well as ours?
  • There is a reason America stands out amongst all the nations of the world. Why let the Bilderbergs (2/3 European) use our legal and political systems to drag our country down to their countries’ levels for their personal gain?
  • Aren’t European countries and Canada realizing that their social programs are imploding under the weight of lies and poor policy decisions over many years?
  • Why go down a path of proven failure?
Make sure you have the answers necessary to sift through the lies and half-truths of those with an agenda that imperils you, your family and our blessed country, so you can vote your conscience!
