Attacking Free Speech To Delay Political Upheaval Over Migration Will Fail

The United Kingdom appears to heading to another summer of protests and rioting sparked by catastrophic immigration policy. Last summer, Protests exploded across England after eleven little girls were brutally stabbed and three were killed, ages 6, 7, 9, at a girls’ dance class in Southport by the son of Somalian migrants.

Though the stabbings were the spark, England was already a powder keg over immigration policy at the time and disclosures of the infamous Pakistani rape gang scandal. To help end the protests in 2024, UK Police actively targeted the speech of those on social media who openly disagreed with immigration police and/or posted derogatory or violent remarks about migrants. As a result of speech targeting, hundreds were arrested, including young mother, Lucy Connolly, who was sentenced to 31 months in prison. In response to the new anti-migrant protests breaking out, English authorities have again decided to quickly double down on going after social media postings. This dynamic of unrest over Migrant policy and attacks of speech is not limited to the UK but seen throughout Western Europe and creating massive instability that cannot continue.

This year’s protests are a Déjà vu to what happened with the 2024 Southport stabbings and aftermath. In the working-class town of Epping, where Migrants were being housed in a local hotel, a 41-year-old Ethiopian Migrant allegedly sexually assaulted a young English teenager. The UK has experienced an exponential increase in rape from 16,000 in 2012/13 to over 76,000 in 2025, much involving Migrants. From the UK’s Daily mail describing the backlash and police attacks on speech: “Over the weekend, angry crowds have gathered in Norwich, Leeds, Portsmouth, Bournemouth, Southampton and Nottinghamshire--with counter-protesters fighting back by insisting 'refugees are welcome'. In a bid to combat the growing anti-migrant sentiment, an elite division of police officers will be assembled to monitor social media for signs of civil unrest--a move which critics argue is controlling free speech…. The new police division… will aim to 'maximise social media intelligence'…… critics say the social media crackdown is 'disturbing' and raises concerns for free speech. Chris Philp, the shadow home secretary, told The Telegraph: 'Two-tier Keir can't police the streets, so he's trying to police opinions instead. They're setting up a central team to monitor what you post, what you share, what you think, because deep down they know the public don't buy what they're selling.'… (Daily Mail, July 27, 2025)

Over the past year, the political climate with Migration has transformed

Over the past year, the political climate with Migration has transformed. Though the political establishment and media continues the line that any criticism of migrant policy is racism, the working class UK citizen no longer believes it. One anecdote tells the story: For years, working class Englishman Tommy Robinson had attempted to expose the Pakistani rape gang scandal after one of his cousins became a victim. He led political activism against the current failed migrant policies. Robinson attempted to expose the dark side of Islamic terrorism coming from within the UK. On a clearly political prosecution, Robinson spent seven months in a UK prison and was stigmatized by the establishment and media. Now, he is a regular guest on British Podcasts. In Northern Ireland, the ancient animosity between Irish Catholics and Protestants has subsided with their newfound alliance against the horrific migrant policies. Many citizens of the UK openly hope to see Trump-like immigration policies in the UK.

About a month ago, German police raided the homes of hundreds of Germans who posted unwanted speech on social media, with the primary issue being anti-Migrant. According to “The Fire”: “T David Bendels, editor in chief for the Alternative for Germany (AfD)-affiliated Deutschland Kurier, received a seven-month suspended sentence for “abuse, slander or defamation against persons in political life.” The offense? Bendels had edited and posted a photo of Interior Minister Nancy Faeser so that a sign she held said, “I hate freedom of opinion.” (The Fire, April 21, 2025)

European Union (EU) uses the Digital Services Act (DSA) as a censorship 

The US House Judiciary recently published a Report about the dangers of censorship by the European Union. The report provides a plethora of examples of European censorship, primarily to prevent criticism of the horribly unpopular migrant policies. From the press release: “The report details how the European Union (EU) uses the Digital Services Act (DSA) as a censorship tool that requires the world's largest social media platforms to engage in censorship of core political discourse in Europe, the United States, and around the world.” -- (House Judiciary Committee, July 25, 2025)

European progressive establishment leaders, who, years ago, foisted a destructive immigration policy on an unwitting European citizenry, are now scared of the backlash. They overwhelmed the populations of European communities with foreign cultures and demanded native European communities adapt themselves. Shedding European Christian culture and values. As it became clear these policies failed and were horrendously unpopular, that “leadership” attempted to stigmatize those who spoke. As stigma no longer worked, the progressive establishment now relies on authoritarian censorship to delay the inevitable.

Europe thrived as Christendom, and a culture with God-given individual rights like free speech. The experiment to force this change has failed. It’s time for Europe to shed its current failed leadership and get back to its roots.
