Local newspapers are dying (Here's how we can save them) What all the newspapers you mention did to earn a Pulitzer Prize was a speck compared to what the Los Angeles Times refuses to write about in its own back yard, which is the biggest land-fraud swindle in American history compounded by some of the most heinous crimes against humanity on American soil -- against war injured homeless Veterans living outside the largest VA in the nation and just a few blocks from where the richest man in LA lives in one of LA's biggest mansions, who happens to own the LA Times.
It is beyond disgusting and disgraceful that the LA Times refuses to honestly write about the most corrupt VA in the nation and the toll it is taking on our disabled homeless Veterans. If the LA Times wanted to return the favor to our Veterans for sacrificing so much for the greater good of our country, you'd win a half-dozen Pulitzer Prizes in several categories by writing the Truth, instead of suppressing it. With this being Memorial Day weekend, there is ZERO in the LA Times including any news about the transformation of Brentwood Skid Row into Veterans Pride Row with more than 20 individual walk-in tents with cots, all uniformed in Military precision, and all donated by individuals and non-government entities. On the other side of the fence is the VA's incredulous "internment camp" with disabled homeless Veterans confined to pathetic crawl-in tents and security guards over-watching their every move. Why does the LA Times hate our Military Veterans so much that they cannot write the Truth about how the VA abuses and mistreats them? If you want to save local newspapers from "dying," how about saving war-injured homeless Veterans from dying first and foremost.

While this criminal story against disabled Veterans being defrauded of their benefits -- a National Home deeded exclusively in their behalf 132 years ago -- is a MAJOR story, ultimately the BIG story will be how all the local media suppressed it. The fact that the only news coverage we get on this is outside the USA -- "Canada Free Press" -- and 2,700 miles across the USA in Washington D.C. by Judicial Watch's "Corruption Chronicles" is indeed a MAJOR story worthy of a Pulitzer Prize. How about for once telling the real Truth as to why Los Angeles is our nation's capital for homeless Veterans. Old saying, "We honor our dead Veterans by taking care of our living Veterans."
