Fifty percent of Americans pay no taxes. The schools their kids attend, the police and fire safety, sidewalks, roads, parks and social services are all paid for by the rest of us.

One percent of Americans pay 35% of the taxes received by the federal government, yet their income amounts to 18% of the total income in the country. The other 49% of us carry the burden of 65% of the budget. Now, who do you think is treated the most unfairly? It is quite obvious that both the very wealthy and what is left of the middle and upper middle class are disproportionately supporting the whole system. Under Bernie Sander's plans, we would need 18 trillion dollars over 10 years to pay for his programs, The Motley Fool estimates that the Sander's tax plan would generate 9.8 trillion over the same time period or about half. So guess what? Those who actually pay taxes will have to pay more-much more. The question is not, "Do you think this is a good idea?" but "Are you willing (and can you afford) to take home less money to fund this plan?" Think about that when you enter the voting booth.
