The Wisdom of Our Founding Fathers: Part II

Biden administration, Congress, Deep State have their hearts and minds set on making sure America fails

As I pointed out in Part 1, the Founding Fathers recognized certain truths about human nature and identified potential weaknesses of any potential government, no matter how well designed. They knew that there would likely be domestic enemies within the United States of America as well as external foreign enemies. For the last several decades, American society and patriotic politicians were slow to recognize that the Marxist Democrat Party morphed from the loyal opposition to an outright enemy of the state, the domestic enemies the Founding Fathers cautioned us against 250 years ago. When the Marxist Dimms started to refer to the Founders as irrelevant old white men, we should have gotten the message that they really meant traditional American values and the Constitution were irrelevant. We missed that message!

"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

"One great error is that we suppose mankind more honest than they are." ~ Alexander Hamilton
After identifying that the bedrock of a successful democratic republic was the high moral and ethical standards of a virtuous people, governed by the Laws of God as defined by the Holy Bible, they expressed deep concern about keeping shackles on the government they were forming. Because they understood the brilliance and the foibles of human nature, they cautioned their contemporaries and their descendants about how even the best government might fail.
"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." ~ John Adams
“Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master. Experience has taught us that it is much easier to prevent an enemy from posting themselves than it is to dislodge them after they have got possession, and when the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter.” ~ George Washington "However [political parties] may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion." ~ George Washington "Occupants of public offices love power and are prone to abuse it." ~ George Washington

"It is in the interest of tyrants to reduce the people to ignorance and vice. For they cannot live in any country where virtue and knowledge prevail."

"I think myself that we have more machinery of government than is necessary, too many parasites living on the labor of the industrious. Government big enough to supply everything you need is big enough to take everything you have ... The course of history shows that as a government grows, liberty decreases. The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first." ~ Thomas Jefferson "A sacred respect for the constitutional law is the vital principle, the sustaining energy of a free government." ~ Alexander Hamilton "A fondness for power is implanted in most men, and it is natural to abuse it when acquired." ~ Alexander Hamilton "It is in the interest of tyrants to reduce the people to ignorance and vice. For they cannot live in any country where virtue and knowledge prevail." ~ Samuel Adams

Marxism exploits nearly every one of the foibles the Founding Fathers were concerned about

"If our nation is ever taken over, it will be taken over from within." ~ James Madison These words should chill each and every one of us. Marxism exploits nearly every one of the foibles the Founding Fathers were concerned about. Unless our eyes don’t see, our ears don’t hear, or we choose to remain ignorant, we should see the failings our forefathers foresaw and expressed concerns about. Here are some final thoughts they had about government. "It will be of little avail to the people that the laws are made by men of their own choice if the laws be so voluminous that they cannot be read, or so incoherent that they cannot be understood." ~ James Madison Those words define the status of our laws and regulations in the United States of America today. "Power is the great evil with which we are contending. We have divided power between three branches of government and erected checks and balances to prevent abuse of power. However, where is the check on the power of the judiciary? If we fail to check the power of the judiciary, I predict that we will eventually live under judicial tyranny." ~ Patrick Henry

The Marxist Biden Administration and the Marxist-led Congress are demonstrating all of the actions the founders warned about

The Founding Fathers expected a free press would hold this problem in check. The majority of our press today is condoning these activities, to dismantle the U.S. Constitution, not condemning them.
"Charity is no part of the legislative duty of the government." ~ James Madison "Dependence leads to subservience." ~ Thomas Jefferson "In the general course of human nature, a power over a man's subsistence amounts to a power over his will." ~ Alexander Hamilton
Hamilton defined the very reason why government should not be in the business of charity. The words above reflect exactly what is going on in the United States government in 2021. The Marxist Biden Administration and the Marxist-led Congress are demonstrating all of the actions the founders warned about to assure the wonderful government they designed would fail. Too many members of Congress, too many members of the Biden administrate, and too many members of the Deep State have their hearts and minds set on making sure America fails. If they succeed, then the free world will also fail. Tomorrow Part III

After a 55 year career as a professional pilot in the military, in law enforcement, in the private sector, and in federal civil service, I am now retired.

In many of these positions I repeatedly took an oath to defend the United States Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.
