The Wisdom of Our Founding Fathers

Founding Fathers’ Judeo-Christian morals and values rapidly disappearing in Marxist America

For decades the domestic enemies of the United States of America have done nothing but denigrate the American Founding Fathers, referred to “as a bunch of old white men,” who are not in any way a legitimate consideration in the modern world. In light of my reading of the writings of these men, those critics are undoubtedly the most ignorant people in America. The depth of understanding of our Founding Fathers regarding human nature is astounding. They totally understood the brilliance and the foibles of how human beings have operated throughout history. These men, in fact, learned from the mistakes of their ancestors. These men recognized and designed a system of government that provided their descendants with the best opportunity to avoid the mistakes of the past. While the Founding Fathers were developing this opportunity, they also identified exactly where this system could fail. They identified the human weaknesses that could result in the failure of this nearly perfect government system, and they spoke of it often. Not only did they design a nearly perfect government, they detailed and documented exactly what their descendant needed to watch for to prevent the ultimate failure of that government. They recognized that history repeats itself and the only difference throughout history is the technology of the times.

Requires a Moral and Virtuous People

"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." ~ John Adams "Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters." ~ Benjamin Franklin "Now, mark my words. So long as we are a young and virtuous people, this instrument (the Constitution) will bind us together in mutual interests, mutual welfare, and mutual happiness. But when we become old and corrupt, it will bind no longer." ~ Alexander Hamilton "Religion and good morals are the only solid foundation of public liberty and happiness." ~ Samuel Adams

By what standards are People Moral and Virtuous

During the time of the Founding Fathers, morals and virtue were defined by the Holy Bible, what we now call Judeo-Christian values. Christianity was the driving force to define right and wrong, and God was accepted as Our Creator from which all rights are derived. Through the birthing of our nation, the Founding Fathers often spoke of Christianity as the basis of America. "It is impossible to govern the world without God. It is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the Providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits and humbly implore his protection and favor." ~ George Washington "Do not let anyone claim tribute of American patriotism if they even attempt to remove religion from politics." ~ George Washington

"Our Constitution represents the work of the finger of Almighty God"

"The reason that Christianity is the best friend of government is because Christianity is the only religion that changes the heart." ~ Thomas Jefferson "Man will ultimately be governed by God or by tyrants." ~ Benjamin Franklin "I have carefully examined the evidences of the Christian religion, and if I was sitting as a juror upon its authenticity I would unhesitatingly give my verdict in its favor. I can prove its truth as clearly as any proposition ever submitted to the mind of man." ~ Alexander Hamilton "Remember civil and religious liberty always go together: if the foundation of the one be sapped, the other will fall of course." ~ Alexander Hamilton "Our Constitution represents the work of the finger of Almighty God." ~ James Madison "Resistance to tyranny becomes the Christian and social duty of each individual… Continue steadfast and, with a proper sense of your dependence on God, nobly defend those rights which heaven gave, and no man ought to take from us." ~ John Hancock "It is when a people forget God, that tyrants forge their chains." ~ Patrick Henry "My most cherished possession I wish I could leave you is my faith in Jesus Christ, for with Him and nothing else you can be happy, but without Him and with all else you'll never be happy." ~ Patrick Henry "We have staked the whole future of our new nation, not upon the power of government; far from it. We have staked the future of all our political constitutions upon the capacity of each of ourselves to govern ourselves according to the moral principles of the Ten Commandments." ~ James Madison

The Marxist Democrats successfully started driving a wedge between Americans and Judeo-Christian values in the 1960s

As demonstrated, God and Christianity were never very far from the minds of our Founding Fathers. They depended on Christian values to sustain the success of the democratic republic they had founded. They predicted that if the government they created drifted from God and Christianity, it would inevitably fail. The Marxist Democrats successfully started driving a wedge between Americans and Judeo-Christian values in the 1960s. Many Americans thought the drug culture, the free love culture, and the “if it feels good” culture were just passing fads. How wrong we were. America jumped on a slippery slope we have been unable get off, so today a near majority of Americans have abandoned Judeo-Christian values. America, as a nation, depended on Judeo-Christian morals and values and Christians depended on the freedom of religion and free speech rights that seem to be rapidly disappearing in Marxist America.
