*Webcast on Monday, Jan. 24, on ending funding of abortion WASHINGTON, Preceding the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, two pro-life bills will be introduced today to end federal funding of abortion. The "No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act" would permanently prohibit taxpayer funding of abortion in every federal program. "The Protect Life Act" will ensure that no federal funds will be used for abortion through ObamaCare, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

Concerned Women for America will hold a webcast on Monday, Jan. 24, at 9:30 a.m. ET on efforts to stop federal funding of abortion. It can be seen at (link). Penny Nance, CEO of Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee (CWALAC), stated, "Abortion is not health care. After 38 years of an unjust Supreme Court decision that has led to nearly 50 million abortions, Americans have voted a majority of pro-life congressmen to the House of Representatives. As we grieve the loss of innocent lives, we'll work to ensure our tax dollars do not pay for more abortions. "The webcast on 'No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion' will present women's stories from inside the abortion industry and congressmen explaining how we can stop the federal funding of abortion." CWALAC President Wendy Wright stated, "As the numbers of abortions plateau after years of decrease, reports have surfaced that Planned Parenthood is instituting quotas, requiring their affiliates to do more abortions to increase their profits. If politicians want to make abortion rare, they must stop government funding of abortion." Concerned Women for America is the nation's largest public policy women's organization. Christian Newswire
