Blaming the innocent for Mass Murderers

Why is it that society can now count on certain latter-day media to add to the horror of evil crazed mass murderers like Anders Breivik by deliberately roping in faultless bystanders in the aftermath of the heinous slaughter of innocents?

Media finger pointing is all the more repugnant when it arises even as the shock and heartache is at its earliest stage and before the aggrieved can even bury their loved ones. Trying to make sense of the grotesque rantings of a killer who plagiarized the manifesto of another killer is one thing. Dragging in the names of any referred to in the diary of a self-aggrandizing madman is, in effect, propping up a monster and paying dues to pure evil. In the same manifesto in which Breivik named names, the Norway mass murderer claimed to be proud of his Norwegian ethnicity, yet slaughtered in cold blood 68 of his own people, many young teenagers, the pride of Norway. Breivik’s passing claims on Christianity are just as false, a week-old FaceBook Christian whose “Christianity” does not include Jesus Christ. A vulture-like, irresponsible mainstream media led by the New York Times tried to finger the anti-jihad crusaders. We’re most of us anti-jihad, it’s just that some are more courageous speaking out about it than others. Now it’s “global warming deniers”, the same ones Al Gore's Canadian counterpart David Suzuki wants thrown into jail being tossed into the danger zone. “Norway Terrorist is a Global Warming Denier” was yesterday’s headline on ThinkProgress.com.
“Inspired by climate denial pundits, right-wing Norwegian terrorist Anders Breivik railed against global warming “enviro-communism” in his manifesto,” Brad Johnson wrote. “Breivik--who confessed to killing 93 people in two attacks in Norway--published on the web a 1,500-page manifesto describing his Christian conservative conspiracy theories. In one section, “Green is the new Red--Stop Enviro-Communism,” Breivik argues that global warming is actually a (sic) eco-Marxist plot” to create a world government” using the “Anthropogenic Global Warming scam.”
Millions of people worldwide believe the same thing. That hardly makes them mass murderers. Johnson’s wide net goes all the way from global warming deniers to main-street American conservatives:
“Although Breivik’s conspiracy theories are insane, they are in line with mainstream opinion among American conservatives,” Johnson writes. “He cites Christopher Monckton’s speech before the Minnesota Free Market Institute in 2009, accusing President Obama of trying to cede United States sovereignty to the United Nations through climate treaties. Monckton--a rabid conspiracy theorist who claims his opponents are Nazis--was a Republican witness before Congress on global warming in 2010. “Breivik also believed that the “Climategate” hacking incident “revealed how top scientists conspired to falsify data in the face of declining global temperatures in order to prop up the premise that man-made factors are driving climate change.” “One of his sources for this delusional claim is right-wing climate conspiracy theorist James Delingpole, who regularly appears on Fox News, including Glenn Beck’s now defunct show. The Norwegian terrorist also cited climate conspiracy blogger Steve McIntyre, who appeared in a one-hour Fox News special on global warming in 2009. McIntyre’s conspiracy theories have been promoted by Rep. James Sensenbrenner (R-W) and Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-OK). Dozens of Republican members of Congress have endorsed the Climategate conspiracy theory.”
It didn’t take long for the left wing media and eco warriors, to see the Oslo murders as a prime opportunity to go after their sworn enemies. Enemies more worthy of their time than the death of so many young innocents. For some even amidst the most painful of human sorrows it’s get-even politics as usual.
