Breaking the law is breaking the law
Supreme Court Justice Sotomayor
If I enter your home while you are on vacation and without your consent, I become a trespasser and am subject to the penalties of law. If I enter your home and take your possessions, I am a thief and subject to the penalties of the law. If I forge your name to receive cash, that is punishable by law. If I lie on my job application, insurance forms, or income tax returns, they are all punishable by law.
And yet, some believe, including Supreme Court Justice Sotomayor, that it is insulting to call those who enter our country, without following the proper channels, illegal. A thief is a thief. A liar is a liar. A con artist is a con artist. And someone in our country without property identification is here illegally. It is just that simple.
