Brit Hume Tries Hand At Rewriting Shakespeare

Brit AIN’T no Bill!

Brit AIN’T no Bill! Not much of a laid-back holiday the day after Christmas for Fox News talking head Brit Hume. Instead he was trying his hand at rewriting the great Shakespeare. It takes a lot of arrogance to do that, and Hume’s got plenty to spare. “Alexander Britton "Brit" Hume is an American journalist and conservative political commentator. Hume had a 23-year career with ABC News, where he contributed to World News Tonight with Peter Jennings, Nightline, and This Week. He served as the ABC News chief White House correspondent from 1989 to 1996.” (Wikipedia)

In his long career in ‘journalism’—going all the way back to the days when journos were journalists not political activists, the now 77-year-old Hume failed to learn that there is no match anywhere on earth for the iconic and much-beloved Bard, regarded as as the greatest writer in the English language and the world's greatest dramatist. Like many of the kings of old, William Shakespeare was never tossed off his literary throne. But alas for Hume, there’s nothing much elegant or noble to be found to write about when one works in present day New York. Yet for pure venting, one can always find a Tweet to toss out at the Internet-reading world after climbing into TDS (Trump Derangement Symptom) togs while holidaying in the privacy of one’s home. (People held too long in Lockdown are wont to give in to high school-type boredom, Dr. Fauci.) But it was likely while there, that Hume came up with his tweeted masterpiece: “With apologies to Shakespeare, it will be said of Trump that nothing in his presidency became him less than the leaving of it.” -- Brit Hume The Fox star seems more than slightly vexed that President Donald Trump had earlier tweeted out: “The U.S. Supreme Court has been totally incompetent and weak on the massive Election Fraud that took place in the 2020 Presidential Election. We have absolute PROOF, but they don’t want to see it - No “standing”, they say. If we have corrupt elections, we have no country!”

Fox’s latter day Shakespeare wasn’t having any of THAT. How dare a duly elected incumbent president want his day in court to prove the election was stolen from him when Fox News has already declared Joe Biden ‘President-Elect’?! Not everybody was home being a coach potato, the day after the Christmas that was denied them. Meanwhile, the Faux Bard’s tweet brought a myriad of responses on Twitter, but none more apt than that of Jenny @BlessedTNGal who wrote:
There are a lot of unanswered questions concerning this election that 70+ million Americans would like answered. Yet the media, the courts, and many of our politicians refuse to investigate. Trust me, this looks much worse on them than it does on President Trump.
Brit Hume shouldn’t have crawled off his coach on Boxing Day to make like the Bard, because one thing for sure Brit AIN’T no Bill!
