California Assemblywoman Rejects My Law Proposal, Endorses Lawlessness

Assemblywoman Cristina Garcia (D-Downey, CA) issued out a proposal to invite her constituents to suggest a new law. One would think that she would entertain any legal suggestion which protects law-abiding citizens and their status of citizenship. Downey, California is one of the best-run cities in California.
Why? Conservative principles guide the creation and maintenance of businesses and individual rights, in large part because an all Republican city council manages the city. Unfortunately, California Republicans only enjoy widespread successes at the local level. For partisan state offices, Republicans have slowly regained some footing in Sacramento, but have a long way to go. Cristina Garcia represents everything that is wrong with this disturbing divisiveness in California--and even national--politics. Conservatives are still working on translating their local and municipal victories into wins for the state legislature in blue states like California. Swing districts in swing states like Ohio and even Florida also showcase this telling dichotomy of local conservatives, yet statewide liberal representation. Still, I did not permit the inherent ideological differences from writing to Assemblywoman Garcia. Since she represents areas close to Cudahy and Huntington Park, I asked her to pass a law which would require citizenship before anyone could sit on an advisory board or a commission, or any position of public trust in the state of California.

If readers are not already aware, I work with a regional activist group called We the People Rising. We focus on putting Americans first, and stopping illegal immigration. Huntington Park, CA recently appointed two illegal aliens to city commissions. Cudahy, CA, declared itself a sanctuary city last year. To this day, We the People Rising have not ceased to fight this corrosive, lawless behavior. I had hoped that the assemblywoman in a nearby district might help me--and the state--solve this vexing disregard for the rule of law. Surprisingly enough, she got back to me. Her letter was specific to my request, even though she decided not to propose a bill against illegals siting on governing boards in California cities. Here is the main contents of her letter:
"Thank you for your bill idea on requirements to volunteer. Recently the city of Huntington Park named two individuals to the parks and recreation commission and the health and education commission. As volunteers, these two individuals wil work with other appointees to the commission on how to improve the cit  of Hunnington Park's [sic] well-being. Civic engagement has been low in this area in the last few years. These individuals are setting a positive example for the community and for younger individuals that want to participate in the future, as well."
She then wrote to me that the winner of her "There Ought to be a Law" contest came from a resident in Bellflower, CA, which would provide equal unemployment benefits for school employees during their off-season. These workers, she explained in the letter, typically earn minimum wage, but have no income during the times of the year when they are not working consistently. Of course, this letter came to me before the $15 wage hike was forced down every Californian's throats, or into their wallets. But that is another rant for another day. This "Ought to Be a Law" winner, AB 2197, basically enables people to continue collecting a paycheck when they do not work over the summer session. Who sponsored this bill? The  radically regressive Service Employees International Union, of course!

For years, California's Big Labor lobby has be have been clamoring for more easy money for unemployed seasonal public school workers for years. Their questionnaire presses prospective school board candidates for their views on these and other non-essential, non-educational issues. So, the labor unions get what they want (again), and he distinction between citizen and illegal alien is blurred once again/ Indeed! Final Reflection Assemblywoman Garcia's letter was filled with typos and spelling errors. Key titles which needed capitals received none. She disregarded the spirit and letter of my demand. Did anyone proofread her letter before mailing it to me?! She refused to write the words "illegal alien" or even mention the illegal status of the two illegals sitting on the commissions in Huntington Park. She even praised this outreach and their example, claiming that more residents in these low-voter turnout communities will become more involved with local government. We are a nation of laws, not sentiment. If the four city councilmembers of Huntington Park who approved the offensive, nonsensical appointments of Julian Zatarain and Francisco Medina cannot understand the need to respect the rule of law, then they need to be run out of town on the first train. Deport the lawless city councilmembers. Remove the two illegal aliens from the city commissions. Send the message across the country: cities are for citizens, and city councils serve those citizens. As for Cristina Garcia, does she not realize that the low civic participation in these regions stems precisely from the unfathomable lawlessness taking over the region? Why should anyone get involved in local politics when the Mexican Mafia decides who wins or loses? Who lives or dies? Which businesses profit and which fail? Shame on her for caving to Big Amnesty and not looking out for the legal residents of California! Call her office, and tell her to Put Americans First! Capitol Office: State Capitol P.O.
