Canada Has Abortions Up to Birth, Conservative Party Leader Pierre Poilievre Won’t Stop It

The We Need a Law campaign is deeply disappointed by Conservative Party of Canada leader Pierre Poilievre’s recent remarks affirming his commitment to not pass any laws restricting abortion if elected Prime Minister. Poilievre’s comments are similar to those of Liberal leader Mark Carney who unashamedly announced his support for abortion in his first speech of the election campaign.

In a country that prides itself on democratic values, Canada remains the only democracy in the world without any legal protections for pre-born children. ---More...

Pierre Polievre asked if he would allow a free vote on abortion amongst his MPs, given that some candidates see it as an issue.
