Canada's Critical Minerals, Oil and Gas and the Carney relationship with China

Perhaps this is why Carney won’t have that chat with Trump. He’s afraid Trump may call him out on this. Guess that’s why Trump said it’s better for him, not necessarily Americans, to deal with the Liberals…

Over the past few days, I’ve had conversations with a number of people, who to me, are very informed. We all combined our information and in the best interest of Canadians we present this very short explanation of the long-game and seriousness of this election.

I have been asked not to put links in to articles cited, merely using the titles of said articles, so you have the ability to post and share this information. (META still restricting media links, from what we understand).

To begin. Some of us understand about “blind trusts.” They are, as Carney has said, an entity with a screen around all of his investments. That doesn’t deny the fact that he will know what is in that “blind trust.” As Canadians do not know his investments, we will not know what his conflicts are until after the election, which is too late for Canada.

Carney has been on the Boards of Directors for a number of very large corporations. This includes Brookfield and Bloomberg, to mention just 2, of the many. These 2 entities are invested in the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) which is China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

Unknown to many Canadians there was an article in February of 2024 entitled “China wants Canadian private investment in Belt and Road projects, amid scrutiny,” (CTV, Feb. 24, 2024):

“China's ambassador in Ottawa says he wants Canadian business to collaborate with Beijing on its Belt and Road Initiative, amid scrutiny from Western governments.
"Ambassador Cong Peiwu says Canada can use the initiative to reduce global carbon emissions and fight poverty.
"He rejects warnings by Canada's peers that the plan allows Beijing to coerce developing states.”

What we need to look at is the silence of Carney regarding what China has been doing. After much discussion it was the consensus that China is implementing the tariffs of 100% on Canadian canola oil and canola meal, peas and a 25% tariff on seafood and pork to exacerbate the harm to the Canadian economy. These tariffs, combined with the U.S. tariffs, will make Canada a nation that private investors will shy away from – all but China and the BRI/AIIB.

China, with its tariffs are effectively undermining any real private investment in Canada. Add to that the executions of 4 dual citizens, in China for drug charges, being the canon ball across the bow of Canada. One fully grasps the seriousness of China’s influence on Canada and to the extension being Carney. Question--there is only the statement, from Foreign Affairs, putting out a “travel advisory” to Canadians, not to travel to China. Why isn’t Canada telling Canadians to get out of China so we don’t have as many pawns for China to use against us?

Apparently, the last Prime Minister (PM) didn’t get the job done in a timely manner, ergo the new PM. With the last Liberal regime having a “level of admiration I [he] actually has for China because their basic dictatorship is allowing them to actually turn their economy around on a dime and say, ‘We need to go green … we need to start investing in solar.’” (CTV, Nov. 8, 2013)

This is the very same sentiment Carney has--Green Economy/transition and where is he invested – indirectly through the AIIB/BRI and China.

So, why would China be so involved with investing in Canada. China, like the other big players, understand that Canada has a huge source of natural resources, including oil, gas, critical minerals, shipping ports, underfunded military assets for defence, and ample foolish politicians. In comes the Belt and Road, China and the influence and debt.

The Belt and Road Initiative has been referred to, by “global financing bodies like the World Bank” as "debt-trap diplomacy," which is when a country is given a loan it likely cannot pay and then must compensate by transferring assets or taking certain political stances.” This, we understand, from various papers researched, for our other reports on this topic. (CTV)

There has been ample proof of this, across the globe, to show that the BRI and the AIIB are not in the best interest of Canada or Canadians, as it will place Canada under the extreme influence [emphasis added] of China. It seems that has already been in the works, through the last Liberal government, and will only become expedited with Carney. Merely one example is:

“Italy, which like Canada is a G7 country, signed onto the BRI in 2019, seeking an investment boom after a series of recessions and rising skepticism toward the European Union.(CTV)
"The country now plans to withdraw, arguing it did not yield economic benefits and created tensions with allies.”

Now for the why we should be concerned with Carney, his blind trust and investments. When you have 2 large corporations, (there could be even more) invested in something the shareholders (of which Mr. Carney is to the tune of millions) want “returns” on their investments. The way to do this is to have countries, who have little or no private investment or ability to invest, buy into the plan – being the Belt and Road Plan. It’s a win-win for Carney, the corporations he is invested in and a huge WIN for China.

China, with its tariffs, in conjunction with the U.S. tariffs, are setting Canada up to fail, allowing the door to be opened by Carney, to assist in the take over of our natural resources by China. This is all because private investment will be too concerned to invest in Canada. Carney's door is open to China and it’s a win-win for him, his investments and his friend Xi Jinping (China).

Now you know and understand our concern regarding Mr. Carney and his silence on China and why he may not be fit for the position he is running for as it seems not to be in the best interest of Canada--merely China.

Perhaps this is why Carney won’t have that chat with Trump. He’s afraid Trump may call him out on this. Guess that’s why Trump said it’s better for him, not necessarily Americans, to deal with the Liberals…

Until next time…
