Canadian Grandmother Was Euthanized Without Her Consent

Cases like Stegemann’s underscore the profound risks the system poses to elderly, hearing-impaired, and cognitively vulnerable patients whose prior refusals and diminished capacity are overridden in the name of “choice”

An 83-year-old Canadian grandmother was euthanized under the country’s Medical Assistance in Dying program on July 10, 2026, despite having previously declined it because of her Christian faith and without providing what her family describes as a final verbal confirmation of consent.

Brigitte Stegemann, known lovingly to her family as “GG,” died by lethal injection at The Pearl (formerly E.J. McQuigge Lodge), a long-term care facility in Belleville, Ontario, where she had lived for the previous two years.

She had been diagnosed with untreatable Stage IV stomach cancer about five months earlier.

Her granddaughter, also named Brigitte, held legal power of attorney and had served as her primary caregiver and advocate for more than 12 years. Facility staff routinely contacted the granddaughter for decisions about medications, treatments, and daily care. ---More...

31-Week-Old Unborn Baby Survives Abortion. Teens Deliver Child, Leave Baby in Toilet

A 31-week-old unborn baby has survived an abortion attempt with the abortion pill in a crazy and heartbreaking case.

Two North Carolina teenagers face felony charges after the 18-year-old mother allegedly took abortion pills at 31 weeks of pregnancy in an attempt to end the life of her unborn child, resulting in the premature birth of the baby into a toilet.

Syeisha Jadan Johnson, 18, and the child’s father, Elijah Jshaun Speight, 19, were arrested Auust 4, six days after Durham police responded to Johnson’s home on July 29.

Court documents state that Johnson ordered the abortion drugs mifepristone and misoprostol online from Virginia and took them on July 26 “in an attempt to terminate her pregnancy early.”

The couple learned of their unborn baby in June when Johnson was about 20 weeks along, Speight told officers. ---More...

The Average Planned Parenthood CEO Makes $355,086 Killing Babies

STOPP just published its 2026 Report on Planned Parenthood CEO Compensation to alert the public about how much Planned Parenthood affiliate CEOs continue to earn across the country, despite all the financial struggles the organization has been claiming for years now. This report covers the abortion organization’s financial compensation for its affiliate CEOs from fiscal year 2023-2024, which included the financials from the last fiscal year prior to the temporary Medicaid defunding in July 2025.

Affiliate income and CEOs’ compensations saw an uptick overall in FY 2024. Here is an overview of where the abortion giant saw increases in that fiscal year:

  • The total compensation paid to all affiliate CEOs was $21,305,153 in 2024, a 7.8% increase from the prior year.
  • The average Planned Parenthood CEO earned $352,661 in 2023. In 2024, the average salary was $355,086.
  • Sue Dunlap, the highest paid Planned Parenthood CEO, earned a total compensation of just under $1 million dollars in 2024. Her affiliate, PP Los Angeles, also earned the highest income of $247,408,428.
  • Planned Parenthood Federation of America was given $792.2 million in American tax dollars that year. ---More...

Trump Expands Childcare Program to Help Families in Need

The Administration for Children and Families is overhauling a federal low-income childcare program to include less regulation and lower administrative costs, while increasing the number of spots available.

The notice of proposed rulemaking, titled “Reducing Federal Burden for Head Start Programs,” slashes the 130-page regulations governing the Head Start program to just 10 pages. The administration says the changes to the program will reduce costs and save $2.2 billion.

Created in 1965, the program serves low-income families by providing early education and health programs for pregnant women, infants, toddlers, and preschool children.

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s uncle, Sargent Shriver, founded Head Start, but Kennedy feels the program has diverged from its intended purpose. ---More...

“The Reason I’m Here is Because Abortion Failed”

In July Live Action shared the story of a young man who stopped to talk with Mark Harrington of Created Equal during a campus outreach video. What he said stopped many in their tracks: his biological mother, he explained, was a drug addict who tried to abort him—once with the abortion pill, “but it was too late” —and once because she never made it to a scheduled procedure because the money she’d set aside was stolen.

“The whole reason I’m here,” he said, “is because abortion failed.” He went on to share that he’s a Christian who believes “everyone has a right to life.”

This story is more than a viral clip. It’s a living illustration of the message I carried to the National Right to Life Conference in my presentation, Survivors, Stories, Strength. Abortion survivors are out there, often unaware their own story is a survival story, and it takes a movement working in concert to find them, honor them, and connect them to support. ---More...
