The biggest laugh in all of Canadian political history has got to be New Democrat Party (NDP) leader Jagmeet Singh “Putting President Donald J. Trump on notice.”
Gales of raucous laughter, including this writer’s irrepressible giggle fits, must be heard everywhere except in Liberal-NDP-controlled Ottawa.
‘Singh puts Trump ‘on notice’-headline, Western Standard, Feb. 10, 2025.
LOL!!! Many of us may need medical intervention to keep unstoppable laughing under control.
As far as Singh’s playground threat:“Impose a tariff on us, we’ll impose a tariff back on you”, CFP’s Brian Thompson points out, “Canada fighting U.S. tariffs with their own would be the equivalent of a tiny corner store taking on Walmart in a trade war.”
Back to big-talking Singh:
Other than riding along on America’s coat tails, when did Canada have a “strong relationship” with the U.S.?
As Concerned Canadian posted on X:
Incredibly, Singh is not the only Canadian politician throwing his bluster at Canada’s southern border.
Weeks before his ridiculous threats, Fatcat Ontario Premier Doug Ford bragged about his punching prowess in a challenge to Trump before calling a snap Feb. 27th election.
What these Canadian politicos are trying so hard to do, is using media-hyped Trump hatred to advance their own self interests. In Ford’s case, trying to bury his brazen seizure of public funds of the Freedom Convoy truckers during government-imposed COVID-19 shutdowns, and the deplorable state Ontario hospitals were in—even before the so-called pandemic hit.

In Singh’s case, it was an NDP leader propping up PM Justin Trudeau’s ill-gotten ‘majority’ government, by assuring his pension before looking after the interests of a majority of Canadians, hoping for a federal election.
Like most Marxists who are as slippery as proverbial eels, Singh once caught getting into a Maserati on Parliament Hill (True North, Nov. 29, 2024)
Singh told reporters that the Maserati parked in his parking spot is not his.
Still, the big story here isn’t about clowns Singh or Ford, or even about CNN giving publicity to socialist Singh, nicknamed Maserati Marxist by based Canadians grounded in reality.
Nor is the big story really about CNN giving Singh publicity in his threats against President Trump and DOGE leader Elon Musk. CNN is, after all, the leader of FAKE News.
The Big News is why the American mainstream media is inadvertently or otherwise, providing publicity for Trump haters holding public office in Canada.
If American media outlets want to know more about political Trump haters, just give CFP a call—for the FULL story on them.
Whose side is the America mainstream media on, visceral Canadian Trump haters or America First Donald Trump?
About time that somebody tried to find out.
