Carney, China and the Insult to all Americans.

Will Carney be able to negotiate with Trump or the Americans?

Carney, China and the Insult to all Americans. Will Carney be able to negotiate with Trump or the Americans? Have Canadians noticed that Mark Carney does not speak to the issues Canada is having with China? There could be a number of reasons he doesn’t. Those include:

  • “Brookfield Bet Billions on Shanghai Land as China’s Market Peaked and Secured $276 Million Bank of China Refinancing Under Mark Carney as Market Crashed.”[1]
  • “In February 2021, Carney joined the board of fintech company Stripe. Carney helped launch the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ)[2] at COP26 in Glasgow in November 2021. He acts as the group's Co-Chair. Since 2022, Carney has also been an advisor to Watershed, a climate tech company founded by Stripe alumni that proposes to be "the platform companies need to succeed in the climate economy."[3]
  • “In August 2023, Carney was named by Michael Bloomberg as chair of the new board of directors for Bloomberg L.P. as part of a broader reshuffle of the company's leadership.”[4]

What needs to be brought to Canadians attention is that Brookfield and Bloomberg are substantial investors in China and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank. This is the bank which funds China’s Belt and Road Initiative. Perhaps this is why Mr. Carney is so silent on the issues Canada is having with China – China already knows that they have a ringer in Canada? Then there’s the insult to President Trump and all Americans.

  • “Speaking just hours after US President Donald Trump posted a tweet blaming Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell's policies for creating fears of an economic recession and threatening China with more retaliatory tariffs, Carney urged central banks to collaborate in replacing the US dollar as reserve currency. He cautioned against choosing another new hegemonic reserve currency like the renminbi and suggested instead, a "new Synthetic Hegemonic Currency" (SHC), such as Libra, which could potentially be provided "through a network of central bank digital currencies", that would decrease the US dollar's "domineering influence" on trade worldwide.”[5]

How is Mr. Carney to speak, let alone negotiate with President Trump after he has effectively undermined the U.S. dollar (Green-back) as a world currency and recommended that the U.S. dollar needs to be gotten rid of. With his statements he is telling the world that the U.S. Greenback is

  1. harming global economies,
  2. (needs to be replaced by something not real (Synthetic Hegemonic Currency), and
  3. is, again, attempting to protect China. Is this because of his investments in various entities that are following the China solution?

You remember that, don’t you?

In 2018 Prof. Jean-Paul Marechel authored a report titled “What Role for China in the International Climate Regime”?

“Peking appears to want to take advantage of this situation and might well succeed. In January 2017, just after Donald Trump’s victory, Xi Jinping insisted during the World Economic Forum in Davos on the fact that all signatories should stick to the Paris Agreement “instead of walking away from it”. The same month, Xie Zhenhua, China’s climate envoy, said that his country was “capable of taking a leadership role in combating global climate change”.
"All these statements must be connected to the so-called “China solution”. This expression was publicly used for the first time in July 2017 on the 95th anniversary of the foundation of the Chinese Communist Party. During the speech he gave for that occasion, Xi Jinping asserted that the Chinese people were “fully confident that they can provide a China solution to humanity’s search for better social institutions”.

"Unlike the “China model”, or the “Peking Consensus” (designed to counterbalance the defunct Washington consensus), the “China solution” seems to be – or at least has been conceived to be – applicable everywhere, including in Western countries.’ …the will to conquer new foreign markets shares in the field of green technologies and, not least, the desire to improve the country’s image on the international stage.
    "…Green technologies
"The second reason for Peking’s new attitude lies in the economic opportunities linked to the so-called “green technologies”. In short, China aims to prevail in the fast-growing and lucrative “clean products” markets…But China’s position has improved steadily, not only in global economic terms but also as far as “green technologies” are concerned.
"In less than two decades China has become one of the world’s top producers of low energy light bulbs, wind turbines, solar panels, solar water heaters, and batteries for electric cars….Many of the major players in these markets are now Chinese companies. They benefit from the size of the domestic market that allows huge economies of scale and, therefore, low production costs. Goldwind, United Power, Envision, Ming Yang are among the main wind turbine manufacturers in the world.
"The leaders in solar module production are Jinko Solar, Trina Solar, JA Solar, Suntech Power, and Yingli Solar. The same can be said in the fields of lithium ion batteries for cars or hydro-electric generation. These companies and many others – backed by the state when they are not (partially) state owned – pursue a global strategy by investing in foreign countries, especially since the 2008 crisis.”[6]

So, maybe Canadians can see through the “honorary degrees”[7] and see that Mr. Carney isn’t the person we need to be leading this Nation. He has too many investments in/with hostile foreign entities and, it would seem, with his silence on China, is biased toward and/or influenced by Xi Jinping. (‘Mark Carney meets Xi as China woos the West’ The Telegraph reported in March 2024.)[8]

Until next time…

One of its major real estate ventures, a $750 million entry into high-end Shanghai commercial property in 2013, involved a Hong Kong tycoon affiliated with the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC)—which the CIA labels a central “united front” entity of Beijing.” (Brookfield’s Deep Ties to Chinese Land, Loans, and Green Deals—And a Real Estate Tycoon With CCP Links—Raise Questions as Carney Takes Over from Trudeau)
