Now that’s a stretch. Democrat Virginia Senator Tim Kaine, who self-identifies as a Catholic—currently working on putting the FBI in touch with bishops—says the real purpose of the FBI investigation into Catholic churches “was actually to look into violent extremists who were targeting ‘radical traditionalist Catholics’ in an effort to recruit them,” (ABC 13, April 17, 2023)
What a boatload of HOOEY, Mr. ‘Catholic’ Senator!
As someone who identifies as a Catholic, Kaine shows how little he knows about the characteristics of “traditional Catholics”.
Kaine writes off the purpose of the FBI investigation was actually to look into violent extremists who were “targeting ‘radical traditionalist Catholics’ in an effort to recruit them.”
Traditional Catholics go to church to pray. The FBI goes there to spy.
Saving ‘radical traditionalist Catholics’ “in an effort to recruit them” can’t happen during prayer, meaning that these faithful Catholics will have to be waylaid either going into, or leaving church service.
Good luck with that!
As someone who attended Latin Masses until relocating to Nova Scotia, where Latin Masses are too few in number and too far away from where I live, I never heard of any “violent extremists who were “targeting ‘radical traditionalist Catholics’ in an effort to recruit them.”
Incidentally, how in Heaven’s name did the word “radical” in describing “traditional Catholics” ever come up?

While surveilling and maybe even stalking “traditional Catholics”, the FBI is doing zero about the real violent extremists and terrorists out there working on taking America down.
Senator Kaine, who ran as vice president when Hillary Clinton made her unsuccessful run as president in 2016, surely knows that.
“Sen. Tim Kaine, D-VA, last week defended a recent FBI memo that targeted “radical-traditionalist” Catholics, claiming the agency was acting in Catholics’ best interests and that he has helped put the FBI in touch with bishops.(Catholic Vote, April 17, 2023)
“Kaine said the purpose of the investigation was actually to look into violent extremists who were targeting ‘radical traditionalist Catholics’ in an effort to recruit them,” reported ABC13, who spoke with the senator:
“I think the key is communication,” said Kaine. “If the FBI has a concern like that, then go to the church leaders and say ‘Hey look, we have a concern and we don’t want your members to get unwittingly caught up in something’,” he suggested.
“Unwittingly caught up in something’?
Oh, give us a break! Traditional Catholics are “caught up” in the adoration of Christ, their King.
“Kaine compared the FBI’s controversial actions among American Catholics to past efforts by federal law enforcement to prevent “radicalization” among young Muslims by working with mosques. (Catholic Vote)
There’s a vast difference between mosques and Catholic churches.
“After clarifying the matter with the FBI, Kaine said he helped connect Bishops with the FBI so they could further discuss these concerns with transparency,” ABC13 reported. (Catholic Vote)
“His comments come as the FBI faces increasing scrutiny over its apparent efforts to target what it calls both “radical-traditionalist” and “mainline” Catholic parishes.

“Based on the limited information produced by the FBI to the Committee, we now know that the FBI relied on at least one undercover agent to produce its analysis,” wrote Committee Chair Jim Jordan, R-OH, in a Monday letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray. The FBI further “proposed that its agents engage in outreach to Catholic parishes to develop sources among the clergy and church leadership to inform on Americans practicing their faith.”
“Jordan said the “shocking” new information “reinforces our need for all responsive documents, and the Committee is issuing a subpoena to you to compel your full cooperation.”
“According to the limited documentation the FBI released to Congress, the FBI had sought to use Catholic churches as “new avenues for tripwire and source development,” including at “mainline Catholic parishes” and among “local diocesan leadership.”
“The Agency also aimed to “sensitize” Catholic churchgoers “to the warning signs of radicalization,” and “enlist their assistance to serve as suspicious activity tripwires.”
Self-identifying as Catholic, as Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Senator Kaine, numerous other Democrats, and even as Pope Francis do, does not mean they practice the Catholic Faith.
Biden, Pelosi, Kaine and their minions advocate full throated for abortion. From the Vatican, Francis puts the Great Reset of Klaus Schwab first and foremost over the Catholic Church.
If they exist, the bishops Kaine is “putting in touch with the FBI spying on Catholic churches,” are not Catholics either.
Get out of our church, Senator Kaine and take your anti-Christ riff-raff with you!
