Which prevented citizens from enjoying activities such as fishing, swimming, and hiking. Preventing forest fires could have been achieved simply by banning smoking and campfires. There was no need for this unscientific and arbitrary order, which prevented Nova Scotians from accessing roughly 75 percent of the Province’s land, including forests and wilderness areas.
