The EU has rejected percentage offers by the USA and China to cut carbon emissions. USA wants to cut emissions by 17% (equal to 4% based on 1990 levels) by 2020. All countries, the EU, and the UN, insist on referring to ‘greenhouse’ gases.
For a greenhouse gas to exist, a greenhouse must be in place. As one IPCC scientist pointed out: the theory of ‘greenhouse’ gases is based on the very unscientific idea that gases go into the atmosphere and are trapped by some physical boundary, just as they would be caught in an actual greenhouse; but, in reality, there is no barrier to stop gas from escaping! There is only outer space. So, tell us how gases can be ‘trapped’ in a non-existent greenhouse?
The Greenhouse That is Not There
The US EPA says greenhouse gases endanger human life and must be regulated. Again I ask – tell us how! How do these free gases that can escape into space possibly endanger human life? And, how can they be ‘regulated’. Even if a way is found to stop gases from accumulating, it would make no difference. Also, these gases do not accumulate anyway – funnily enough, the earth has been dealing very nicely with gases since time began. What it cannot deal with, is the deception of governments who pretend these dangers are all around us, and so we need their ‘help’ to be dissipated.
The EPA cleverly says that because human life is in danger Obama need not seek the approval of Congress. Since when does he seek approval for anything? He just does whatever he pleases. Even though he is as dull as a brush when it comes to science.
China’s percentage offer is higher, but the EU’s main negotiator, Andreas Carlgren, says it will be negated by China’s planned 8% annual industrial growth. The EU has promised to cut its emissions by 2020 (from 1990 levels) up to 30% if other countries were more ambitious. Thus, the EU keeps pressing China and India to do more. But, they refuse, rightly saying it would ruin their economies.
More Defiance Needed
I hope both (if not more) countries will hold out and refuse to comply. Otherwise their planned growth will come to nothing and they will remain Third World. Gordon Brown meanwhile, knowing he is in real trouble with the electorate, is pushing the EU to reduce emissions by 30%. Of course he is – his future riches and the demise of the UK depends on it.
Commitment to an emissions program will destroy the financial foundations on which the West is based, but give total power to each government. This is why Obama is trying to get South America and Canada to join with the USA, in a super-American state. And why not? They can all reduce their status and become as progressive as Cuba, with the same kind of economic strength!
The Poles have reminded the EU that it said countries need only offer 20%, because anything higher cannot be decided by Copenhagen alone. It would need an ‘impact assessment’. Notice that? The plan to save the planet needs an impact assessment. Yet, supposedly, the science is fixed and there is consensus! So say greenies.
Don’t you think an ‘assessment’ contradicts this claim? Of course it does; it is locking the door after the horse has bolted. But, the EU and the UN are not interested in the details – all they want for now is obedience by all leaders, so that they sign our lives away to the coming world order. They can raise the level of financial commitment very easily after they have the total power. The ‘impact assessment’ will be presented to the EU next March… four months after leaders have already decided what to do! Once again, because the ‘conclusions’ have already been reached, the facts and boring details do not matter, even though they contradict the conclusions.
No Time! (That’s What the Mad-Hatter said. Remember?)
The Danish foreign minister also let the cat out of the bag, proving how superficial any commitment to emissions is. He said: “it is existing EU policy to shift from 20% to 30% cut in the context of an ambitious deal. We have given a promise. There will not be time for an impact assessment before Copenhagen. We knew there wouldn’t be time when we made that promise.”
In other words, the EU is blatant and arrogant. It made a promise to deliver huge emissions cuts BEFORE scientific evidences were given! They made a POLITICAL promise without once considering the scientific reasons for doing so. And they KNEW they would not base anything on science.
The Guardian reports that the EU doubts if biofuels can be produced in sufficient ‘significant’ quantities. They say the nitrous oxide produced when making biofuels may (will) negate the carbon savings made by replacing fossil fuels. Yet, the EU again pushes forward regardless of the science, by insisting that 10% of all road transport fuel must come from biofuels by 2020.
Like Being Fooled?
So, no science, just political decisions made without any reference to the facts. How much more will people allow themselves to be fooled? And what about those who rule finances? The Centre for Economic and Business Research warns that Britain will no longer be one of the world’s top ten economies by 2015. This is because they are giving billions to fund the EU annually, and will soon be in hock by giving a variety of green taxes to the EU very soon. This may be added to by taxes going to the UN. None of the taxes are needed, because they are attached to green laws and policies, all of which are made on the back of fraudulent science and political expediency.
As I said yesterday, the Copenhagen summit is going ahead even though the science has been proven to be fraudulent. But, as we know, leaders don’t care about that, because the ‘conclusions’ are already fixed!!
In Britain, there are now DAILY TV and radio programs promoting green claims and science. On one channel (Community’) last night, EVERY program was about climate change… maybe, just maybe, it is brainwashing? And a speaker on the godless ‘God slot’ on BBC said he was “asked to talk about climate change”! They ignore the email scandal, and just keep on coming. If this doesn’t prove the sinister agenda behind the Summit, I don’t know what is. Pro-greenies are just crushing all opposition with a massive roller.
The Latest Debacle
The Summit was “in disarray” (Oh good!) today when developing countries were given access to leaked documents from Denmark (Danishgate?). The documents (reported in The Guardian) says world leaders will be asked to sign an agreement that hands more power to richer countries and “sidelines the UN’s role in all future climate change negotiations.” (Again – Oh Good!).
Under the proposals richer countries will be allowed to emit twice as much carbon as poorer countries. Let us say this went down like a lead balloon. The agreement was brokered by a secret group called the “Circle of Commitment”, and includes the UK, USA and Denmark in its membership. Anyone who thinks the Summit is purely about green stuff is, well, nuts. Funny how these ‘leaks’ keep on coming, eh?
The documents say control of climate change finances will be in the hands of the World Bank (another sneaky secretive organisation)… and this further undermines the idea that leaders are talking about ‘saving the planet’. Wake up, tree-huggers – it’s all about money and power! The document also says richer countries will abandon the Kyoto Protocol, and they would force poorer countries to comply with their decisions, not with those of the UN.
A senior diplomat said this was “a very dangerous document for developing countries. It is a fundamental reworking of the UN balance of obligations. It is to be superimposed without discussion on the talks.” I just love to see this kind of disarray! Give us more!
As can be expected, developing countries are up in arms and are very suspicious of anything now said. Indeed, they are “Furious”, because it is done behind their backs. “It is being done in secret. Clearly, the intention is to get Obama and the leaders of other richer countries to muscle it through when they arrive next week. It effectively is the end of the UN process” said another diplomat. I can only shout “Good!”
This secret has been well kept, and explains why Miliband and other rich countries have been trying to get agreements sorted out before the Summit began. They wanted the covert deal to take place between richer countries, so that it could be rubber-stamped at the Summit.
Let us hope for more revelations and maybe countries walking out of the Summit! And let’s watch as the UN battles against world leaders. Should be interesting.
