"Boris Johnson today dodged on whether food and fuel shortages will last until Christmas - as he warned that 'uncontrolled immigration' is not the answer. “The PM insisted chaos at petrol stations 'is abating' as he gave an interview kicking off the Tories' annual conference in Manchester. “But he conceded that many people - particularly in London and the South East - are still struggling to fill up vehicles amid driver shortages and supply chain disruption.”Over there, in the land of Charles Dickens’ Tiny Tim, it was beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and some didn’t like it! Over here, Dr. Covid-Mask Anthony Fauci and dimwit Joe Biden are singing from the same choir book, and it’s not ‘God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen’.
“Repeatedly pressed on the BBC's Andrew Marr show over whether Chancellor Rishi Sunak had been right to warn recently that the issues could last until Christmas, Mr Johnson said: 'Rishi is right invariably in what he says.' But he stressed it depended on how his comments were ‘interpreted'." (Daily Mail)LOL!, Boris, how many splinters from fence sitting are causing that pesky pain in your rump?
“Mr Johnson warmed up for his busy day in Manchester by going for a morning run. But he sparked bewilderment as he was photographed jogging in a suit shirt, shorts and what appeared to be formal shoes and socks. It is not clear whether the PM had forgotten to pack his kit, or was cunningly saving on washing.” (Daily Mail)
“The UK faces a shortage of pigs in blankets this Christmas as a lack of butchers threatens to disrupt supplies of pork, industry leaders have said. “In the latest twist of the supply chain crisis hitting Britain in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic and Brexit, the government has said it is “working closely” with the pig industry to “address the pressures industry is currently facing”.
“As with the petrol shortages, which saw the military mobilised to drive petrol tankers, ministers are now reportedly mulling relaxing visa rules for up to 1,000 foreign butchers. “The industry is short of some 15,000 workers, according to the British Meat Processors Association (BMPA), which has forced its members to just focus on keeping supermarkets stocked with basic cuts of meat. “While supermarket shelves are already missing some pork products which have been rationalised, the butchers shortage also risks causing animal welfare issues on farms as mounting numbers of livestock await slaughter, raising the prospect of an imminent cull of 150,000 pigs. “We really should have been producing Christmas food from about June or July onwards this year and so far we haven't, so there'll be shortages of party foods and things like pigs in blankets. Anything that is labour-intensive work could see shortages,” a BMPA spokesperson told The Times.”
“The Washington Department of Health is advertising job opportunities working in quarantine and isolation facilities. “The facilities are reportedly going to be used to house Americans who are unable to quarantine at home but it is prompting fears that the program could eventually be used to forcibly detain people.
“The positions listed as ‘Isolation & Quarantine Team Consultants’ offer “continuous” employment with a salary of up to $4286 dollars a month. "Summit News reports: The facility is located “within a motel in Lewis County” and employees will be tasked with providing for COVID infectees “transportation to and from the facility in vans that have been altered to separate air flow to protect the driver.” “Team members provide for all aspects of the guest’s stay to include providing laundry services, delivering hygiene products, delivering ready-made foods or microwaveable foods to the guests,” states the job description.” “The state Isolation and Quarantine facility was created for individuals who are not Washington residents but are traveling in our state and test positive for COVID-19 or who have been exposed to someone who tests positive and do not have a residence or other location in which to spend their 10-14 day isolation or quarantine period.” "The advertisement for people to work in quarantine facilities follows the CDC’s publication earlier this summer of a COVID-19 planning document that suggested relocating “high-risk individuals” to “green zones” or “camps” in order to keep them away from the rest of the population.”Meanwhile, the coming cancellation of Christmas in Merry Olde England is about to prove something valuable about the current pandemic: When North American governments follow suit, it will inadvertently show that when it comes to COVID, there is COLLUSION between governments here and abroad.
