Despite the major disadvantages of scant "conservative" representation in Washington DC, a rudderless Republican Party adrift on a sea of uncertainty and legislative and executive branches of government that are no longer even accountable to the concerns of those they once represented, conservative principles are not simply resisting the bloodless, socialist coup taking place in this country, they're kicking # and taking names.
Americans are now wide awake to the dangers of Obama's socialist agenda, and like Howard Beale, they're mad as hell and they're not going to take it any more.
Democrats can no longer blame congressional Republicans for America's rejection of ObamaCare, so they lash out at those they believe bear the responsibility for Obama's own penchant to rule instead of govern, engaging in the most reprehensible of tactics and the last refuge of the intellectually deficient: Personal attacks on constituents by members of Congress, verbal insults on Americans by the Speaker of the House of Representatives and baseless charges of racism hurled by impotent demagogues, media elites and even anti-Semitic ex-presidents.

Maureen Dowd needs health care reform so she can take a long, restful vacation in a nice rubber room with four-point restraints. During Obama's address to Congress, she apparently heard voices utter something that no one else in the entire country heard. Something she characterized as the "unspoken" racism of Joe Wilson. "You Lie, Boy!" A real winner, that Maureen Dowd.
And while the liberal media beat the hell out of Joe Wilson for his shrill criticisms, when Obama calls Kanye West an ***hole (off the record, of course) for his classless hijacking of Taylor Swift's moment of pride, the media covers it up, apologizes to Obama and has the posts completely scrubbed from Twitter. But conservatives are just loons. We're not devolving into a Third World, Soviet-style socialist dictatorship or anything even remotely close. What a country.
When a concerned citizen admonished California's Pete Stark not to "pee down his leg and tell him it was raining", a popular expression among older military veterans, Stark insulted him by saying "I wouldn't dignify you by peeing on your leg. It wouldn't be worth wasting the urine." Granted, the gentleman who confronted stark was being sarcastic. But, Stark's response was classless and unacceptable.

Jimmy Carter, a failed ex-president with a long history of anti-Semitic comments, hence no moral authority to lecture anyone on issues of race, said during a recent interview that he believes the vast majority of opposition to Obama is based on his skin color. Even Barack Obama distances himself from the ridiculous nonsense lobbed by a complete domestic and international failure.
Nancy Pelosi; a complete disgrace to the United States of America
Then, there's Nancy Pelosi; a complete disgrace to the United States of America.
As House Speaker, she represents the entire country. But, she's far too partisan and divisive to represent anything but her own self-interests. She led the attack on ordinary Americans, calling them "unpatriotic", "phony", "not representative of America" and "Astroturf". Taking up her lead, members of the House began hurling charges of racism at their own constituents. But it didn't work. So last week, she tried a different tack, digging up 1970's violence and comparing opponents of health care reform to murderers, recalling through choked back tears, that recent rhetoric by those protesting health care reminds her of what preceded the killings of San Francisco Supervisor Harvey Milk and Mayor George Moscone by Dan White. Never mind that White was a Democrat. Never mind he was a San Francisco City Supervisor, not a protester. Never mind that the vast majority of violent acts that occurred in the 1960's and 70's were committed by left-wing radicals.
What do you expect, Ms. Pelosi, when you ignore and marginalize those you supposedly represent? What do you expect, Ms. Pelosi, when you insult them? When you attack them in their living rooms? When you lie to them? When you condescendingly lecture them you know what's best for them?
And, who can forget John Murtha, Van Jones, Jeremiah Wright and all of the other other liberal, race-baiters who constantly make outrageous claims that the white man is poisoning the drinking water of black people, covertly sterilizing them, infecting them with the AIDS virus or inventing crack as a means of extermination.
Democrats are the party of the Klu Klux Klan
There are simply too many examples to ignore. History leads us to the inescapable conclusion that liberal Democrats are the racists among us, not those who oppose them. Democrats are the party of slavery. Democrats are the party of the Klu Klux Klan. Ask a US Senator, the distinguished gentleman from West Virginia, Robert Byrd. Charges that opposition to Barack Obama is, in any way, grounded in racism are simply baseless and without merit.
I have a question for all of you pathetic, intellectual lightweights who seem to find racism every time you emerge from the sewer pipe: If this is such a racist nation, how did Obama ever get the keys to the White House?
The truth is that those who oppose Barack Obama oppose specific policies that they can articulate. Obama's morally and financially bankrupt, socialist agenda is losing support among all but liberal Democrats.
Nobody wants to see our country erupt in political violence. But, that's not where this spirited opposition is is headed, for Americans aren't taking Pelosi's bait. This is a civilized, yet spirited national debate, nothing more. And, until Barack Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and the rest of the Democratic thugocracy begin to listen to the American people, their vocal opposition will continue.
Behind those crocodile tears, Nancy Pelosi acts as if a bunch of angry mobsters just started taking to the streets one day, for no apparent reason. Never mind that these are senior citizens, disabled people and average Americans. Never mind the forced socialism by Democrats since day one. Never mind Pelosi's own intransigence; her own verbal attacks and insults on hard-working people who just don't want to drink the Kook Aid being served up at Town Halls across the country. For all they know, Pete Stark might have peed in it when no one was looking. Has anyone seen Pete Stark?
