We don't negotiate for hostages but we do for traitors

Following the announcement of the death by drone of an United States aid worker, we were told that we do not negotiate for hostages. But we do and have negotiated for a deserter.
That is just the way it is. And it is so very sad. Mrs. Carolyn M. Brown
