Pete Hegseth has directed all military leaders and academies to review and eliminate books related to DEI, gender ideology, Critical Race Theory

“No consideration for race, ethnicity, or sex” in admissions to U.S. military academies. Applicants will be admitted “exclusively on merit”

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has directed all military leaders and academies to review and eliminate books related to DEI, gender ideology, Critical Race Theory, and similar topics. In a separate memo, he stated there would be “no consideration for race, ethnicity, or s*x” in admissions to U.S. military academies. Applicants will be admitted “exclusively on merit.”

The memo described books on diversity as “promoting divisive concepts and gender ideology” that “are incompatible with the Department’s core mission,” according to The New York Times.

Books falling within the categories outlined in the memo must be removed from military library shelves by May 21.

In another memo, Hegseth mandated that service academies rank candidates using “merit-based scores.” Hegseth noted that “merit-based scores may give weight to unique athletic talent or other experiences such as prior military service.”

Amazing work by Pete.
