Thursday, January 23, 2015, NBC 6:30 evening news, the lead story? "Deflategate"-I kid you not. The 3rd story, the resignation of the Yemeni President and the deepening turmoil in that country.
And that, folks, is a large part of the reason we are in such a mess. The public is dining on sports and entertainment when they need financial education, world news and history, and investigative reporting into local, state and national affairs to be healthy, informed citizens.
There are so many important stories that will impact our future and we are being entertained with fluff. We should demand better by using the remote every time we are insulted by the networks in this way.
