Are government leaders coasting in to the Fall when seasonal influenza brings back pandemic scare mongering again? Most clerics remained stonily silent when churches became part of the pandemic Lockdown some 15 months ago. Meanwhile, the so-called ‘Battle of the Weaponization of the Holy Eucharist’ has reached the deep depths of the ‘Toldya’ category: ‘US bishops say they won’t issue ‘national policy’ on Communion for pro-abortion politicians’(LifesiteNews, June 24, 2021) ‘There will be no national policy on withholding Communion from politicians,’ the bishops’ conference clarified’.

Eucharistic document, much ado about nothing? Church’s law already binds

So what did the USCCB/60 letter-writing Democrats achieve in all the hullabaloo over receiving The Body of Christ in churches still closed or suppressed for Worship? Months long of virtue signalling by ‘Catholic’ Democrat politicians who are pro-abortion but still present themselves for Holy Communion anyway. And if churches FINALLY open their doors to the faithful 100%, who will be coming back? The visibly grinning Prince of Darkness, sitting right there, front and center in the first row of dusty sanitized pews.
