Toronto, ON – March 22, 2011 – On May 18, 2011 Dewith’s Boxing Studio, a boxing studio located in Mississauga, will host its second annual fundraiser event, Fight for the Girls. The prestigious dinner gala event will take place at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto and will be an exciting night of fine dining and boxing entertainment. The Fight for the Girls fundraiser combines a fine dining and gala atmosphere with impressive boxing entertainment. Throughout the evening on May 18, event goers will see six boxing bouts: two female Olympic-class bout, one male Olympic-class bout, and three recreational-class bouts between corporate clients. All boxers participating in the event have either directly or indirectly battled the woes of breast cancer in their personal lives, making their altruistic participation in this event even more compelling.

“This event is exciting, unique and undeniably moving. We enjoy entertaining our guests and supporters with what we do best: boxing,” says Dewith Frazer, owner and head coach of Dewith’s Boxing Studio. “Given the success of last year’s event, we are thrilled to host a second event this year and to have the opportunity to give back to a cause that so desperately needs our help.” The popularity of Dewith’s Fight for the Girls event is undeniable given the fact that all platinum seat tables, are already sold out. For those who still wish to attend, 32 VIP tables are still available. To purchase tickets, visit Dewith Boxing Studio, link here, Fight For The Girls, link here or link. Melinda Watpool, boxer and guest at 2010’s Fight for the Girls event, describes her experience, “I had an absolute blast last year. The food was delicious, the venue was gorgeous and everyone seemed to really enjoy the entertainment. This event is so different from any other fundraiser. Guests not only have an amazing time, but also have a reason to feel good about the fact that they are funding research at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre dedicated to the cure of a cancer that is the most common form among Canadian women.” In one of the large halls of the Fairmont Royal York Hotel, the Fight for the Girls event offers institutions and individuals a number of sponsorship packages to choose from: Title Sponsor, Corner Sponsor, VIP Sponsor and Silent Auction Contribution – each package providing sponsors with different marketing features. Among the most highly acclaimed sponsors from last year’s event is the Royal Bank of Canada, by far the largest corporate supporter.
