Disarming citizens

It seems clear to me that Al-queda is mostly composed of unemployed, if not illiterate and poor individuals that have been brainwashed and believe that their cause will change the world.

The world economy is fomenting their ire. Their leaders are making the most of it. It looks like the whole world is returning to banditry. If the nations do not respond this can only escalate. Disarming the citizenship will only lead to their inability to protect themselves. Take for example the ability of the Israelis that had to arm and protect themselves when they lived in the kibbutz .
