Dispensation of the truth?

Over sixty-two years ago the senate subcommittee, headed by Senator Estes Kefauver, held hearings on organized crime. One after the other, Mafia thugs of Cosa Nostra, in response to questioning pleaded the 5th amendment; "Under advise of counsel, I refuse to answer on the grounds it may incriminate me!"

Fast forward to November 14, 2012.... President Obama's press conference and his answers to questions about Benghazi. "I can't comment on that, because it's still under investigation!" Or blocking thousands of documents by executive order, pertaining to Fast and Furious. How is the effect of the fifth amendment different than that of, it's under investigation, or executive orders? They are all tactics to avoid incriminating answers. Benghazi and Fast and Furious claimed the lives of five people in service to our country. Honest answers are imperative, even if it means the head of the President! No man is indispensable.
