Transportation Security Officer

Do You Know Who Your Screener Is?

image I don’t want to come off as ragging on screeners, but when you see a Marine you know that’s a Marine and what to expect. Looking at the job description of a Transportation Security Officer, the “provide friendly customer service to travelers” part obviously needs a little work.

The TSA has been hit with a number of lawsuits as the revolt against Big Sis, naked body scanners, and invasive groping measures explodes, with one case involving a woman who had her blouse pulled down in full public view by TSA goons who then proceeded to laugh and joke about her exposed breasts.
While the TSA site does say new applicants are subject to background checks, it fails to differentiate between credit and criminal, and gives no details to the general public as to what kind of training these TSOs receive in the fine art of the pat down (if at all).
