Fake ‘Cowboys’, Canada Style

With the Calgary Stampede being milked by Canadian politicians, two words come to mind at Canada Free Press: MICKEY MOUSE!

With Canada now steadily collapsing into Free Fall, it’s Silly Season in a Calgary Stampede-dominated Land of the Maple Leaf.

Parliament still in a useless funk, initiated by a departing Justin Trudeau’s prorogue—still with no budget struck, or even hinted when coming—members of all political parties on holiday until mid-September, and giddy politicians of all stripes and gripes donning cowboy hats to take advantage of Stampede photo ops.

This is our country as seen by the outside world.

And the Big News on X today? “Who is the better pancake flipper, PM Mark Carney or Comeback campaigner Pierre Poilievre?

A loud groan from Canadian masses, daring to ask “WHO REALLY CARES?

Even cowgirl hat-wearing Conservative darling Alberta Premier Danielle Smith took time out to pose for photos with Ontario ‘Conservative’ Premier Doug Ford, announcing agreements to build new energy and trade infrastructure. Ford, fresh off from his weekend barbecue with — Chrystia Freeland, must have forgotten his cowboy hat at home, and settled for a western-style belt instead.

Hilariously, the boos and jeers from the stampede crowd would have been loud enough to knock the cowboy hat right off of PM Carney’s empty head, when he walked into the Stampede.

Everyone knows that Canadian politicians lack the grit to be real cowboys.

Even little kids at play know that it takes more than donning cowboy hats to make a genuine cowboy.

Little boys grown tall like many politicians elected to public office, who shirk hard work of any kind, would much rather be on taxpayer-funded holidays.

Sarcastic kudos to the City of Calgary for being so diverse in allowing Cowboys and Indians—and Indians—brandishing their swords to parade in the Stampede.

Diversity really matters in Mark Carney’s Canada!

In the spirit of collegial reciprocity, here’s hoping a few cowboys get to drop in on Calgary’s upcoming annual Diwali Festival.

Meanwhile hoping that Liberal Carney’s obsession with global warming doesn’t overheat too many this summer.
