Rocky Balboa, Hillary Clinton

Fixing Hillary’s Fight

Tuesday, while in Philadelphia, Hillary Clinton made this cute little analogy between herself and movie-icon Rocky Balboa. She made reference to the conclusion of one of the training montages, where Rocky runs up the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

I sincerely doubt Hillary actually sat through the testosterone-slug fest, because if she did, she may have chosen another movie. Rocky Balboa loses to Apollo Creed, coincidentally a black man. But as I listened to her little speech, I heard something curious. You see, I heard Hillary say, “Let me tell you something, when it comes to finishing a fight, Rocky and I have a lot in common. I never quit. I never get up. And neither do the American people.” Anyone who knows anything about boxing understands that a fighter always wants to “get up” after being knocked down. Hillary clearly said, “I never get up.” I wanted to use that as my “Quote of the Day”, however when I went online to find the transcript of her comments, something was very wrong. It was obvious I misheard Hillary’s quote. Or did I…? According to the Associated Press in the Times of London online, Hillary said, "Let me tell you something, when it comes to finishing a fight, Rocky and I have a lot in common. I never quit. I never give up. And neither do the American people.” Before I go on, take a listen for yourself. I clearly hear Hillary say, “I never get up.” When you slow down that line, it’s even clearer what she said. But that being the case, how did the media get it wrong? Are they covering for Hillary? Are they hearing what they want to hear?
"Let me tell you something, when it comes to finishing a fight, Rocky and I have a lot in common. I never quit. I never give up. And neither do the American people." – UK Guardian
"Let me tell you something, when it comes to finishing a fight, Rocky and I have a lot in common. I never quit. I never give up. And neither do the American people." – The Baltimore Sun
"Let me tell you something, when it comes to finishing a fight, Rocky and I have a lot in common. I never quit. – The Boston Globe
The Globe’s blatantly covering for Senator Clinton as they left the questionable line out altogether.
"Let me tell you something, when it comes to finishing the fight, Rocky and I have a lot in common," she will tell the Pennsylvania A.F.L.-C.I.O. audience. "I never quit. I never give up. And neither do the American people." – ABC News
"Let me tell you something, when it comes to finishing a fight, Rocky and I have a lot in common. I never quit. I never give up. And neither do the American people." – Fox News
"Let me tell you something, when it comes to finishing a fight, Rocky and I have a lot in common. I never quit. I never give up. And neither do the American people." – Newsday
“Let me tell you something,” she said in remarks prepared for delivery to the A.F.L.-C.I.O. “When it comes to finishing the fight, Rocky and I have a lot in common. I never quit. I never give up. And neither do the American people.” – New York Times
"Let me tell you something, when it comes to finishing a fight, Rocky and I have a lot in common. I never quit. I never give up. And neither do the American people." – The New Republic
So it comes down to one of three possibilities. The hidden hypnosis code embedded within this page worked and I made you hear Hillary Clinton say something she never said. But seeing how we haven’t completed the debugging, it can only be one of the remaining two choices. Either the press is totally in the tank for Hillary Clinton (despite the reported Obamagasms), or one person quoted her incorrectly and the rest of the media performed a blind, lazy cut-and-paste. Instead of a technical knock out, it’s becoming quite obvious this fight is fixed. Knowing the Clintons, it makes perfect sense. They never quit. They never give up.
