“Jonathan Morris (born August 22, 1972) is an American author, actor, commentator on religious matters in the media who has been a Fox News contributor and analyst since 2005. He is a founding partner of Morris and Larson Advisors (http://www.morrisandlarson.com) where he advises some of the most influential business leaders in America. He formerly served in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York as a priest. In 2019, he requested dispensation from the clerical state. (Wikipedia) “In May 2019, while on sabbatical, Morris announced that he had decided to request dispensation from the clerical state after having:struggled for years with [his] vocation and the commitments that the Catholic priesthood demands, especially not being able to marry and raise a family. I have decided to ask the Holy Father, Pope Francis, to release me from the duties and responsibilities of the clerical state (priestly vows). Taking this step is something I have considered often and at length in years past and discussed with my spiritual guides. ... My decision is not about an existing relationship, but rather about the peace and spiritual freedom I trust will come in the future by following God’s will for my life now.“His request was approved by Pope Francis. Cardinal Dolan had granted Morris's request to be removed from active ministry.

“The Catholic Democrats issued a "Statement of Principles" on Friday clearly aimed at the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) for voting this week to draft a formal document on the meaning of the Eucharist that is expected to admonish Catholic politicians and other public figures who disobey church teaching on abortion and other core beliefs. (Fox News) "We solemnly urge you to not move forward and deny this most holy of all sacraments, the source and the summit of the whole work of the gospel, over one issue," the lawmakers wrote in a statement.”The faithful already knew the true “meaning of the Eucharist” before the USCCB stepped in to describe it after more than 2000 years.
“The new Communion document isn't finalized yet and at least two-thirds of the bishops would have to vote to adopt the language at their next gathering slated for November.” (Fox News)Why this length in time when it means the “targeted” Democrats will get to virtue signal all the way up to November? Something that they’ve already started:
“The Democrats suggest that they are being targeted for the one issue of abortion whereas Republicans who support the death penalty, which is also against the church's pro-life teachings, are not under fire.”(Fox News)
"The Sacrament of Holy Communion is central to the life of practicing Catholics, and the weaponization of the Eucharist to Democratic lawmakers for their support of a woman’s safe and legal access to abortion is contradictory," the House Democrats wrote.(Fox News) "No elected officials have been threatened with being denied the Eucharist as they support and have supported policies contrary to the Church teachings, including supporting the death penalty, separating migrant children from their parents, denying asylum to those seeking safety in the United States, limiting assistance for the hungry and food insecure, and denying rights and dignity to immigrants. "To pursue a blanket denial of the Holy Eucharist to certain elected officials would indeed grieve the Holy Spirit and deny the evolution of that individual, a Christian person who is never perfect, but living in the struggle to get there," the lawmakers wrote.”Somehow receiving Holy Communion at church is not all about the faithful who have been denied it for the past 15 months—but all about President Joe Biden. Biden has been a Catholic public official not just for the past six months he’s been president but for the last 57 years. His receiving the Body of Christ while supporting abortion is not on the USCCB—but on HIM.
“The Democrats highlighted how basic Catholic principles, like helping the disadvantaged, have informed their political policies of universal healthcare, fighting child poverty and more. They pointed out the separation between church and state, and acknowledged how some of their policies have also bucked the Catholic Church. (Fox News) "We acknowledge and accept the tension that comes with being in disagreement with the Church in some areas," the lawmakers wrote. "We recognize that no political party is perfectly in accord with all aspects of Church doctrine. This fact speaks to the secular nature of American democracy, not the devotion of our democratically elected leaders.” (Fox News)“As legislators in the U.S. House of Representatives, we work every day to advance respect for life and the dignity of every human being,” the letter states. Except for babies, conservatives and Colorado bakers, of course!
“The representatives declare that “the weaponization of the Eucharist to Democratic lawmakers for their support of a woman’s safe and legal access to abortion is contradictory.” (Breitbart)Most sorrowfully, It is the Democrats and not the Catholic Church who are weaponizing the Holy Eucharist—and even more sorrowfully the politicized USCCB allowing it to happen. “For I know that the thoughts that I think toward you. says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future”-Jeremiah, 29:11.
