Having learned the ropes of Show Business through Hollywood friends like Johnny Depp and Tom Hanks at their White House Wednesday night parties, and through their daughter Malia, who interned with their one-time friend and campaign contributor Harvey Weinstein, the Obamas are the Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks of the 21st Century. The ambitious couple is about to celebrate their first release—a “documentary” titled “American Factory”, which the Hollywood Reporter says, will chronicle the culture clash between Chinese and American workers in a U.S. auto glass factory. Free entry to the next anti-Trump screed if you can guess which workers will be portrayed as the good guys. The Obamas’ Netflix release will debut before some 139 million subscribers in 190 countries on Aug. 21 and will also be screened in select theatres around the nation. Just as Barack Obama was selected for the 2009 Noble Peace Prize-- even though nominations for the award closed just a mere 11 days after he entered office-- ‘American Factory’, the “documentary” was already cited at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year.

The couple’s next project, “Bloom”, a dramatic series set in New York City shortly after World War II, is already in the works. Proving that there really is “no business like show business”, according to Deadline Hollywood, the Obamas have also signed an exclusive agreement with Spotify to produce podcasts and will voice some of the productions themselves. Private life is so much better for Prince Harry’s pal Barack Obama, who because he found life as president boring due to all those Situation Room meetings, now pitches up in the yachts of the fabulously rich and famous as “resistance leader” of the day. Obama’s found a much more self-gratifying way than the rock star status he had as America’s 44th by living in the heads of deplorables rent-free. There’s “no business like show business” and no two bigger stars than Barack and Michelle Obama. You won’t be able to turn them off if you don’t know what they’re up to, but if you’re at Netflix when they come up from the underground tunnel connected to the parking garage,you can always ask for their autographs.
