Turns out that when Canada’s dictatorial, tyrannical Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, imposing his controlling Online News Act (Bill C-18) told bully social media platforms to jump, their powerful CEOs immediately responded,‘HOW HIGH’?
Proof came yesterday in this shocking-to-some Meta (Facebook) post.
Today, this is the rude message Canadians are finding when they go to Facebook and Instagram for Canadian News—and low and behold—while looking on Facebook for AMERICAN AND WORLD NEWS!
Trudeau’s online ‘legislation’, which became law in June, requires tech companies to pay news organizations in exchange for hosting their content.
The draconian law is supposedly intended to help preserve Canadian news organizations and limit the erosion of their businesses due to internet distribution.
Bee-Ess Baloney! Trudeau already paid $600-million to buy and control ALL Canadian media with the exception of small independent media like Canada Free Press (CFP).
Trudeau’s giveth-and-taketh-away style reigns supreme in woebegone Canada.
According to Deadline: “Instead of agreeing to the Trudeau-demanded fees, Meta and Google have both said they would instead simply eliminate news in Canada”.
They can’t! All Canadians cut off by Meta and Google can find the NEWS they want by going directly to the news sites they prefer to read.
As of August 9, 2023 Canadians can no longer count on Facebook to deliver them news from around the world.
In other words the powerful and rich social media brutes left the battlefield of their own volition—abandoning Canadians to NO NEWS from ANY Facebook site in Canada, the U.S. or the world—something which their sworn enemy Trudeau would secretly approve.
When the Facebook lock-out became apparent yesterday, CFP went on a late-night, online world tour, calling American friends first in Illinois, Florida and California. Americans, after all, comprise 90 percent of CFP readership.
All reported that they could easily find CFP Facebook posts.
Friends in Colombia, in both Valencia, Spain, and Northern Spain, in Slovenia and many other locales reported the same thing.

Meanwhile, no mention in any of the stories about the Facebook Canada cut-off about how social media bullies have been suppressing independent news sites like Canada Free Press for years.
