Before Obama willy-nilly flies all over the country and overseas, I wish he would think how much money he is constantly costing us. I am told every time he travels out of the U.S. both Air Force One planes are deployed with one additional military plane to transport the two tank limos to assure his safety. Now Obama is flying overseas to attend the Olympics to lobby for Chicago’s interest. There are plenty of other people who could handle this type of assignment.

Unless absolutely necessary, which this trip is not, stop frivolously spending our tax payer dollars just to gain publicity and satisfy your own personal agenda.. I don't feel we have a President but more of a traveling campaign celebrity and now a traveling lobbyist. Why doesn't he stay at home and do the job we hired him to do then he won't need the 36+ Czars filling in for him. Obama has selected more Czars to assist him under a year into his Presidency. It took President Bush 8 years to exceed that and they were not automatically and immediately put into force in the first year. These Czars will be costing us over three million dollars not including the elaborate benefit package they receive. In addition every time Obama flies from the East Coast to the West Coast 68,000 gallons of fuel is required to make the trip one way which doesn't include the military plane transporting the tank limos or other operating costs and personnel. Can’t imagine how much those European trips are costing us taxpayers. If he wants to travel that badly, get a different type of job. There is no way with the amount of traveling that he has been doing under a year into his Presidency that he hasn't well exceeded budgeted figures. While he congratulates the agricultural industry for cutting down on their travel expense he merely sucks up the savings. While the President and Congress keep telling the people to tighten their belts they go hog wild! The First Lady has hired a staff of 24 people to attend to her needs. She likewise has exceeded that of any other first lady in history and especially during this critical economic recession. If she can’t get by with 4 or 5 people to handle her busy social calendar, then she too should stay at home because we can’t afford her being a socialite at our expense. Entertain at the White House not all over the country. I further saw a letter from a disillusioned tax payer at the Montana Town Hall Meeting where she indicated numerous cartons of food, especially lobster, were being unloaded from the airplane. It would be interesting to know exactly who was benefiting from this type of extravagance, it certainly is not the unemployed tax payer! I am so tired of the hypocrisy of Obama, the First Lady and Congress. If Obama and the First Lady would stop the frivolous travel and overspending they could donate all the money saved towards providing more equipment and service to our military in Afghanistan and Iran instead of selfishly using it for their agenda. - Joan E.
