From The Annals of Malarkey, O’Biden’s Hypocritical Thanksgiving Day SpeechHard to say who was the more absurd in reporting the menu that described what the Biden family dined on Thanksgiving Day 2021. Was it the White House who released the menu, or the stupefied media who flocked to report on it? We subject to a media world where the news reporting on the most sombre of days, tells us that preening members of he Royal Family “looked ravishing” in emerald green (fill in the blank) velvet; where the latest starlet, model or aging celebrity looked “stunning” in a bikini, their pictures thrown into the mix with those of the latest tragically murdered children.

Holidays always make for perfect photo ops and emotion-ridden phony speeches

Crass politicians knowing that the masses are most likely wearing their hearts on their sleeves on holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas, milk them for all that they are worth for publicity. Holidays always make for perfect photo ops and emotion-ridden phony speeches: Before President Joe Biden tucked into Thyme-Roasted Turkey, Grandma Jacob’s Savory Stuffing, (Is there any other?), Apple, Pumpkin, Coconut Cream Pie and Chocolate Chip Ice Cream with family members—including his thieving son, Hunter—he delivered a flowery Thanksgiving Day speech with no noticeable gaffes. “The meal comes after Biden traveled to Coast Guard Station Brant Point in Nantucket, Massachusetts, to visit service members stationed there Thursday before meeting virtually with troops stationed around the world "to thank them for their service and wish them a happy Thanksgiving." (Fox News, Nov. 25, 2021)

"President Biden thanked immigrants and frontline workers who took care of Americans' basic needs during the pandemic, and remembered U.S. troops who have lost their lives in a Thanksgiving Day proclamation. (Fox News, Nov. 25, 2021)
“The president issued the proclamation on Wednesday, amid the biggest cost increase for Thanksgiving dinners the country has seen in over three decades. “Biden wrote that Thanksgiving gives Americans "a time to reflect on our many blessings." especially "during times of challenge." "That is why George Washington declared a day of Thanksgiving for his troops as they marched into that dark winter at Valley Forge," Biden proclaimed. "It is why in the midst of the Civil War — in proclaiming the Thanksgiving holiday we now celebrate today — Abraham Lincoln urged us to remember our ‘fruitful fields and healthful skies.’" "Just as 400 years ago when the Pilgrims were able to celebrate a successful first harvest thanks to the generosity and support of the Wampanoag, today we too express our gratitude for those who have helped us get through this difficult past year," he continued. “The president gave thanks to "the farm workers and frontline workers, many of whom are immigrants," for their work keeping "grocery stores stocked" as well as keeping "our cities and towns clean and safe.” “Biden thanked teachers getting back into the classroom as well as parents "who have carried their families through this challenging time, helping their children navigate this difficult chapter in our Nation’s history."

Biden’s wasn’t the only Thanksgiving Day speech malarkey

“Additionally, Biden thanked healthcare workers "working to vaccinate our Nation," the scientists who developed the vaccines, and military service members. "This is always a special time in America, but this year, the blessings of Thanksgiving are especially meaningful," Biden said. "You know, as we gather together again, our table and our hearts are full of grace and gratitude for all those we love," the president continued. "As Commander-in-Chief, I’m especially grateful to our service members and their families for their sacrifices to our nation.” “The president said that as Americans "give thanks for what we have, we also keep in our hearts those who we’ve lost and those who have lost so much" due to COVID-19 "or another cruel twist of fate or accident.”

In what other country is the husband of a failing vice president called “Second Gentleman”?

Biden’s wasn’t the only Thanksgiving Day speech malarkey.
“Vice President Harris and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff also released a video commemorating the Thanksgiving holiday. (Fox News) "With so much to be thankful for this year, we wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving!" Harris wrote.”
In what other country is the husband of a failing vice president called “Second Gentleman”?
“Thanksgiving 2021 has seen the largest cost increase on U.S. consumers in 31 years, costing Americans an average 14% more this year.” (Fox News) “One of the main drivers of the cost increase has been the rising inflation facing Americans as well as a labor shortage that has been going on for months. "The supply chain issues have also contributed to bare grocery store shelves and increasing fuel costs across the nation.”

In “meeting virtually with troops stationed around the world” "to thank them for their service and wish them a happy Thanksgiving", Biden skipped right over Afghanistan where he left many Americans and their allies at risk for their very lives, and never mentioned in passing the 13 Americans killed by the Taliban during his Afghanistan departure disaster. It’s often much easier to see through the hypocrisy of political pandering on the day after an emotional holiday. Some people all Joe, who claims he’s “as Irish as a pint of Guinness”, Joe O’Biden. In yesterday’s Thanksgiving Day Speech, not only did O’Biden lay a kiss on the Blarney Stone, he most inelegantly sniffed its hair.
