Conservatism is indeed the new counter-culture. Of course liberal lunacy as a dominant cultural trend, it had to be this way. I would also go one step further. Conservatism resonates because it's true and bold, specifically with President Donald Trump in office.
Young people are rebelling against 8 years of stolid socialism-lite shoved in their faces. Younger people have experienced globalism and collectivism. And they hate it. This is a thrilling moment for the conservative movement! My dream is coming true. For conservatives who worried about losing the younger generations--they are now coming to us without prodding. Why should we be surprised though? President Ronald Reagan was a counter-cultural figure in this time. Young people liked him and looked up to him, even though two decades ago they had protested and slandered him on the streets of Sacramento and Berkeley, California. COOL! This new resurgence of "Young Guns" conservatism is sweeping across the United State. Young people have experienced the full folly of abject, unrepentant liberalism. As Paul Joseph Watson shares, the regressive Left has become puritanical, censorious, arrogant, overbearing. I would also add Pharisaical. They are no fun, but want to take all the fun away from young people. Watson particularly shared data from a UK Daily Mail survey.

Here's the title of the article (and in a left-wing publication, no less): They don't like drugs or gay marriage, and they HATE tattoos: Is 'Generation Z' the most conservative since WW2? Teenagers born after 2000 - the so-called 'Generation Z' - are the most socially conservative generation since the Second World War, a new study has found. Good news! Being conservative and being cool have become one! More: When asked to comment on same-sex marriage, transgender rights and cannabis legislation, 59 per cent of Generation X teenagers said they had conservative views. WOW! Don't believe this development? Check out these videos from young conservativeHunter Avallone, for example. Also, Family Research Council President Tony Perkins related that the key leaders for the more conservative2016 RNC platform--rejecting judicially-redefined marriage, transgenderism, abortion, and other cultural perversities--were young people! Why are today's youth grownso resistant to the left-wing social agenda? 1. They have far more access to competing views. They can compare and contrast values much more quickly, without an authoritarian filter preventing them. 2. As Watson argues, the force-fed left-wing anti-frivolity has sparked a youthful rebellion. No one wants to be lectured and shamed ad infinitum by a bunch of boring, feckless, aged social injustice warriors who masquerade as teachers or college professors. 3. They are directly and abruptly witnessing the consequences of the LGBT and other left-wing social agendas. They have seen the sober outcomes of loose sexual mores: depression, loneliness, venereal disease. Some of these youths are more likely to have grown up in a same-sex home, and experienced the negative effects of not having a father and a mother. Now, why are these Generation Z individuals more conservative? Young people, who have grown up during the 2008 financial crash, were also more prudent and careful with their finances.

They have endured the privations and disasters caused by unfettered liberalism. They bear the costs of older generations spending other people's money. This decadence of modern democratic regimes is dehumanizing to witness. Men and women about to die have left trillions in nation debt for the youngsters to pay for! Of course Generation Z is more money conscious! Even The Huffington Post admits the conservatives views of younger people: Gen Z is Full of Early Starters Many employers are predicting that more teens, between the ages of 16 and 18 will go straight into the workforce, opting out of the traditional route of higher education, and instead finishing school online, if at all. Generation Z is developing a work ethic … early. They reject (over-priced) college degrees as a viable career pathway, especially with all the onerous debt that will consume them for decades after. They are not going to college, but entering the real world faster: automatically they will be embracing more conservative, aka realistic, values! Gen Z Is More Entrepreneurial Generation Z desires more independent work environments. As a matter of fact, 72% of teens say they want to start a business someday. There is no better cohort dedicated to conservative values than business owners, particularly those who have created a new product or branded a new service. The future will be a truly liberal--classical liberal. Can you imagine an entire generation that is willing to take on the world and take risks? Can you imagine this new generation, which will be looking for elected officials who share and promote their values? Indeed, the future is looking good for conservatives. How about this dynamic? Gen Z Is Big On Individuality Individuality, people, the exact opposite of the stifling, boring, and life-threatening collectivism posited by the regressive Left, Barack Obama, Crooked Hillary, and the deeply old and unpopular Democratic Party leaders. Now check out the New York Times report on Generation Z: As far as privacy, they are aware of their personal brand, and have seen older Gen Y-ers screw up by posting too openly. They are aware of the consequences of their actions and words: A-1 conservatism. Where does this strain of conservatism from? Part of that obsession with safety is likely due to the hard times that both Generation Z members and their parents experienced during their formative years. Let's not forget that their formative years were punctuated by two epic disasters: 9-11 and the Housing Crisis. Even Catholic organizations are recognizing a more conservative trend among Generation Z: The newer generations are learning from the failures of previous ones and seem to be quick to learn from their parents and grandparents. Nothing warms the heart of this Gen X conservative than to see Generation Z following close behind in our footsteps. (H/T Paul Joseph Watson. Check out his video here.)
