Everyone, including the next door neighbour in the town where you live—even in Canada—is in on the act.

Hating Trump is your last chance to rise above your peers and land that Andy Warhol-like Moment of Fame. Male, female and those in between are now Kim Kardashians seeking their way to the sun. Trump haters , which include fashion designers and starving artists, can even be identified by trade, “Fashion designer Sophie Theallet made news when she released an open letter to other fashion designers calling on them to refuse to design clothes for incoming First Lady Melania Trump. Even though the French designer had not been asked to make outfits for Mrs. Trump, Theallet’s call garnered a lot of favorable media attention. (DailyCaller, Dec. 3, 2016)

The lowdown from the tog stitchers

Publicity is all the sweeter when it comes for free.
“Now other designers are following suit, while others say they would be happy to work with the incoming First Lady. Designer Tom Ford told The View, “I was asked to dress her quite a few years ago and I declined; she’s not necessarily my image.” Ford went on to explain, “even had Hillary won she shouldn’t be wearing my clothes, they’re too expensive. They’re not artificially expensive, it’s how much it costs to make these things. I think the first lady has to relate to anybody.”
Seems no one told that to Michelle, Mr. Ford.
“Joseph Altuzarra said unequivocally, “I don’t want to not dress people I disagree with.”
That’s the lowdown from the tog stitchers.

Shouldn’t it be more embarrassing for an artist to take a buyer’s money and then dictate where his work can be displayed”

“A growing group of artists is hitting back against Ivanka Trump, with some even demanding the president-elect's daughter take their work down off her walls. (Daily Mail, Dec. 22, 2016) “Hitting Back”? All generous Ivanka ever did was to buy their work.
“A collection of New York artists have banded together to protest Donald Trump through his daughter, with a campaign called 'Dear Ivanka’. “Banding together” to protest Donald Trump through his daughter is over the top. “The colorful crusade was created by the Halt Action Group, which was founded by curator Alison Gingeras, dealer Bill Powers, Jonathan Horowitz, and a group of others associated with the art scene, Bloomberg reports.  “Get my work off your walls!” artist Alex Da Corte is demanding all because artists demanding their work be removed from Ivanka’s famous home because they’re “embarrassed” to be associated with her family.

The latest “Not-on-MY-picture hoopla

The latest “Not-on-MY-picture hoopla comes from Metro’s special inauguration SmarTrip cards not featuring Trump’s picture: “WASHINGTON — Metro is now selling special-edition versions of its SmarTrip payment cards to commemorate the upcoming presidential inauguration. (WTOP, Dec. 21, 2016)
“The cards, which sell for $10 and provide unlimited Metro access the day of the inauguration, feature an image of the White House against a red-white-and-blue flag backdrop. “Notably absent? Any reference to the soon-to-be 45th president of the United States: Donald Trump. “The 2013 and 2009 inauguration-edition SmartTrip cards both featured a smiling image of President Barack Obama. “In an emailed statement to WTOP, Metro said it requested permission to use a photo of Trump but didn’t receive a reply from his campaign. “Due to the long lead time to produce the cards, the new pass commemorates the national celebration of the 58th Presidential Inauguration,” the agency stated. "In addition to unlimited trips on Jan. 20, after the inauguration, riders can reload cash onto the card and use it like any other SmarTrip card.”
Oh, that’s all it was, a campaign glitch? Whew! 2013’s and 2009’s inauguration-edition SmartTrip cards, both featuring a broadly smiling image of Barack Obama are bound to be cherished souvenirs destined to unleash an ocean of Snowflake tears. Can’t Metro see that not having to see Trump’s blankety-blank picture means he’s really not there, not being inaugurated—NOT THE PRESIDENT! If Snowflakes, millennials and celebrities (who never take the subway) can’t talk Metro into re-installing Obama’s picture on Trump’s inauguration card, maybe they can make money selling them on eBay. Failing that, they can always stick them on Deplorables' walls.
