Harvey Weinstein Already Being Democrat Rebranded?

What are the chances that movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, New York Times outed for sexually harassing women will go off gently into the good night? Zero to none. With plenty of help, Weinstein, will do what all Democrats caught in the act, get to do. He will be pulled back behind the red velvet curtain, go underground for massive retrofit before re-entering the limelight at a later date, when the Democrats have managed to rewrite him into their god-forsaken never-ending narrative.

Weinstein will undergo a full overhaul, a miraculous remodel and retrofit

Think of it this way, Nancy Pelosi and countless ageing celebrities, whether in entertainment or politics, take unobserved time-outs for plastic surgery procedures and Botox. Weinstein will undergo a full overhaul, a miraculous remodel and retrofit before coming back as a newly-minted Democrat pastor using a newfound pulpit to harangue Conservative men on their sinful ways. Count on it. Consider this: perverts like Weinstein are less than the proverbial dime a dozen both in Hollywood and within the ranks of sanctimonious Democrat politicians. And this: Harvey comes in handy for the progressive left’s spin that “all men—most especially President Donald J. Trump—are pigs. Social Media is already aflutter with anecdotal evidence on the evil that men do, courtesy of Canadian writer/comedian Anne T. Donahue who tweeted out a question to her followers last week that read, "When did you meet YOUR Harvey Weinstein? “I'll go first: I was a 17-yr-old co-op student and he insisted on massaging my shoulders as I typed." Donahue went on to write that the man was her boss at a local radio station. (Global News, Oct. 6, 2017) The response from the Twitter world was overwhelming.

Rebranded for a comeback as an epic repentant hero, so long as he can keep bringing in the big bucks

But shouldn’t women sexually harassed by men be reporting them to authorities rather than Tweeting about them decades later? In any case, the Democrats can’t afford to keep Weinstein in his hide-y-hole for too long because he’s got too much on them. They were safe for the more than 20 years when they were keeping silent about his behaviour, but not now that he’s been outed. Did Weinstein really get fired by his own company? That would be akin to believing that Communism really fell in the Soviet Union in 1991. The Communism that supposedly fell in the Soviet Union quickly found fertile ground in faraway America and elsewhere where it’s been threatening the survival of the West ever since. All that really happened was that Harvey Weinstein was taken out of the line of sight for the time being and is now in the process of being rebranded for a comeback as an epic repentant hero, so long as he can keep bringing in the big bucks. Like a manager of a baseball team, who just got tossed from the game for “bumping” the umpire, he still stands out of view at the end of the runway and gets to call his shots to the “acting manager”. Weinstein was ‘outed’ by the New York Times 13 years after they sat on a story written by Sharon Waxman in 2004?

Incidentally, if your block buster ‘scoop’ has a shelf life of more than a decade, is it still a scoop?

Their latest Weinstein story has got to be the longest time ever spent on coming up with the scoop. Incidentally, if your block buster ‘scoop’ has a shelf life of more than a decade, is it still a scoop? Talk Show Radio giant el Rushbo knows Harvey Weinstein will be back:
“By the way, I don’t know who else has said this but I want to go on record right now and say Harvey Weinstein’s career is not over. Oh, no, they’ll find a way to bring him back in the fold. You watch. Brian Williams is still on the air at NBC, is he not? Doesn’t matter. Doesn’t matter. Mark my words. You’ll see. (Rush Limbaugh, Oct. 6, 2017) …”You all looked shocked when I told you my opinion that Weinstein will be back at work before too long. This is something that I have learned. Our culture, the shame aspect of our culture has also been politicized. Public behavior that was considered immoral or lacking, greatly lacking in virtue, really did doom you for the rest of your life. It was a badge or a reputation or image that stayed with you for a long time. But as the culture rotted away, and as it was continually attacked, and when it became politicized — and it’s tough to pinpoint exactly when that was — then certain behaviors were allowed. And in fact certain behaviors even became resume enhancements if you were of the right politics. “Look at Bill Clinton. Look at Ted Kennedy. Not only did they survive within the Democrat Party, they were God 1 and God 2. And to this day both remain heralded and highly thought of and role models for many on the left. Bill Clinton, I’m sure he doesn’t feel any shame. I’m sure Ted Kennedy never felt any shame for any of the things that equaled reprobate status or behavior.”

The Mauling Mogul

Hollywood looked to Harvey Weinstein as God and its actors addressed him as such at countless academy award ceremonies when accepting Best Actor Oscars. The timing of the NYT’s 13-years later outing shows that the Progressive Left wanted Harvey Weinstein scandals off the agenda well before MidTerm elections. The public, as they well know, have short memories. The Mauling Mogul went out the door as God and will return as a messiah refitted to lecture godless Christians and Conservative, wiping out bigots and racists forever. Your’e spot on, el Rushbo. Harvey Weinstein will be back because he never really left in the first place.

The Times’s Executive Editor Responds to Questions About Earlier Weinstein Reporting

Some readers have asked us about a piece by Sharon Waxman, a former reporter for The New York Times who went on to found the entertainment news website The Wrap. Ms. Waxman writes that Times editors “gutted” a story she reported in 2004 on sexual harassment allegations against Harvey Weinstein. Ms. Waxman’s piece was prompted by a Times investigation published last week that found that Mr. Weinstein had sexually harassed numerous women over nearly three decades, and that he had paid at least eight settlements to these women. As a result of the article, Mr. Weinstein was fired from his company on Sunday.
