Help Canada Free Press Declare Mark Carney Persona Non Grata

In her latest Promethean Action Report, Susan Kokinda sheds a bright light on a House of Commons Petition led by insufferable Green Party leader Elizabeth May —“to declare U.S. Ambassador Pete Hoekstra persona non grata”.

“President Trump announced a three-day pause on planned 50% tariffs against Canada, citing a pending deal and suggesting Keystone XL could be revived. Susan Kokinda argues the dispute is larger than USMCA negotiations, portraying Canada as an “outlaw” that enables transshipment “smuggling,” fails to enforce forced-labor bans, and facilitates “snow-washing” through weak corporate transparency and money laundering documented in British Columbia’s Cullen Commission.

“She contrasts U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright’s pro-development case for oil and gas as civilizational progress with Canadian Minister Mélanie Joly’s Chatham House speech promoting “geo-industrialization” and a Mark Carney-aligned “middle powers” strategy against U.S. and China “hegemons.”

“Kokinda highlights a House of Commons petition led by Green Party leader Elizabeth May to declare U.S. Ambassador Pete Hoekstra persona non grata, and notes Joly’s outreach to U.S. lawmakers and cities during the trade fight.”

Few have worked harder than U.S. Ambassador Hoekstra to keep Canada above choppy waters in the ongoing USMCA trade deal, a fact that the Coalition of Concerned Manufacturers & Business of Canada (CCMBC) and its president Catherine Swift can attest to.

Canada Free Press (CFP) is aware of the many meetings Ambassador Hoekstra had with this hardworking, dedicated group, giving so much of his time to putting Canada first.

American-born May is an integral part of the disinformation campaign being foisted on Canadian citizens by the Ottawa Liberal Government. (May was granted Canadian citizenship in 1978.)

Now, May who gave up her American citizenship to become Canadian, has come up with a “petition”—in reality a major distraction with the net result of shooting Canada in the heart.

May has done Canada a major disservice by outright accusing Ambassador Hoekstra of what Prime Minister Mark Carney is actually guilty of.

Whereas:

• Prime Minister Mark Carney, his Ministers and Premiers have repeatedly made public statements undermining the Canada-U.S. diplomatic relations, including characterizing the 2025 Canadian federal election as "anti-American";
  
• PM Mark Carney has taken Former PM Justin Trudeau’s talking point that allowed the Trump administration's threats to annex Canada as the "51st state," describing such rhetoric as a "term of endearment";
  
• PM Mark Carney has allowed Canada to interfere in U.S. domestic politics inconsistent with diplomatic protocol;

We, the undersigned, residents of Canada, call upon the Government of Canada to:

1. Formally declare Mark Carney persona non grata and request his removal as Prime Minister of Canada;
2. Raise with the United States the pattern of conduct by PM Mark Carney, his Ministers, and Premiers inconsistent with the Vienna convention on Diplomatic Relations; and
3. Direct a parliamentary committee to review Canadian interference in U.S. domestic affairs.
