The Government and media of our day want us to think that all hope is lost

Help Won’t Help Tomorrow, If You Give Up Today

Help Won’t Help Tomorrow, If You Give Up Today There’s another insidious and deadly ‘pandemic’ steadily creeping into the lives of average citizens worldwide. Even though no one talks much about it, this creeping pandemic is far more virulent than the media and government-hyped COVID-19. The pandemic known as “Depression” has been roosting among us for more than the last year and a half. It was President Joe Biden who gave it new life after his Inauguration last year when he warned the masses of a coming “Dark Winter”.
Winter 2021-22 is well on its way, and governments the world over and their complicit media count on the return of this year’s Flu Season kicking off an even more depressing than ole’ Joe’s “Dark Winter”. The “Paper’s Please!” COVID Passports have come into effect in many places in many lands beside our own. ‘Leaders’ like Premier Doug Ford in Ontario claim that the passports will negate the need for dreaded Lockdowns. But these Passports, are, in effect, the new Lockdowns. Without having them to show, you can no longer go to places where you were always able to go before COVID shut down human assembly and business. All of those reluctant to take an experimental COVID vaccine are lepers of the present day. The breach between the vaccinated and unvaccinated is growing in leaps and bounds—even splitting family members from each other. With governments and media adding to the turmoil, the era in which we now live has become ‘Divide & Conquer 2021’. The masses are left worrying about another Winter soon setting in. This one is forcing folk to stay at home, where they can worry about rising gas and grocery costs. Neighbours are studiously avoiding neighbors, and some wondering which ones should be reported to authorities for remaining unvaccinated. Winters are made to order for government and media scare mongering. For residents in the northeast, winters are always “dark” as the Sun angles further away. Snow, ice and howling winds are part of most winters, because they are part of Mother Nature’s seasonal change.

But every long Winter day still brings us closer to Spring

The population is aging and has been for some time. Many elderly folk living alone dread the length of long, dark winters, hoping to make it through. If you know of someone who lives alone in your neighborhood, you should telephone them to make sure they are alright; and send your teenagers to dig them out after winter blizzards. The truth is that life goes on—even in the midst of long and dark Winters. But every long Winter day still brings us closer to Spring.

Look for ways to halt the onset of Depression which leaves all of us vulnerable to colds and Flus

Look for ways to halt the onset of Depression which leaves all of us vulnerable to colds and Flus. When stocking up on necessities, don’t forget to stock up on books, on family-type videos (nothing but trash on television these days), children’s board games, etc. This Winter could be the perfect time to take up that hobby you’ve long wanted to start. Remember when snow and ice keep you from getting out to Church, you can always pray at home. The Government and media of our day want us to think that all hope is lost, but it isn’t because life goes on. All things, including governments, no matter how powerful—ARE PASSING! Our mental health is just as important as our physical health. It is our Creator’s way that they go hand in hand. Depression, where some governments are leading the people they were elected to serve, opens the door to poor physical health.

Cheer, warmth and people of goodwill are there too

Only YOU can stop it from happening. The sun, moon and stars will be right out your window this Winter, as they have been in all others. Cheer, warmth and people of goodwill are there too. Today, when I went on Fr. Z’s blog, as I do every day, I found this Doyle Lawson, Quicksilver Bluegrass song ‘Help is on the Way’, with its message: “Help won’t help tomorrow if you give up today”, which left me with what my Florida friend Doug Bronson would call “a smile in my heart”. Hope it does the same for you.
